1/6 SSC ESB/ROTJ Darth Vader Modification Thread

I thought it would be a good idea to start this thread. Here is what I did so far and please if you have made any MOD please post pic here, and enjoy.

I used the ANH as a base body which has been MOD for height, I wrapped it to give it some bulk.





For the neck I add the detailed neck piece which you wont see because of the helmet, but it makes me feel good to know it has one.

I also used the ANH shin guards instead of the ESB/ROTJ shin guard. Not sure if anyone has noticed but the is a lot of paint on these new ones and it took a way for the details.

Nothing but trouble....

Vader looks great after the mods. No more baggy pants.

The difference in shin armor isn't the amount of paint on them. They are new sculpts, and the detail is softer. I haven't checked to see if that is screen accurate or not, but that's what's going on.

I've been looking everywhere for parted out sabers. I thought I'd at least find some Ventress ones, but there's nothing.

Someone could make some money if they were to cast some clear red blades.

Do you have maul? You can use one of the fifty he came with.

I thought about that, but the color on them kinda sucks.

Is the ANH body more like the Stormtrooper bodies with the big womanly hips? Or is that a factor of of the wrapping? I guess the outer robe will hide it in the end. Baggy pants is worse so worth it in comparison though.

does anybody know if the darth malgus body will do the trick for vader heightwise and all?

Not sure but I can check when I get home, also the pegs for the feet and hands might be different. Just FYI

Which blade is that? I am thinking of doing the same thing.

I believe the Malgus is a standard height body, but with the muscular arms... so you'd end up with a pretty short Vader afterward.

i thought so, looking at the malgus pics, he looks kinda beefy but i guess its the armor that makes him look like that.....and he doesnt look too tall or at least, vader tall.
