Hi All

I have always wanted to make this scene into a 1/6 scale dio and after a few experiments with different materials I decided it would cost less money and easier to make it in a 3-3/4" format.

RECIPE

1: Figures & Accessories - The torso and legs are from a TLC indy, the jacket and arms are from the Indy horse deluxe set and the head is ToD indy. The whip, bag, gun belt/holster and idol are from the hasbro indy's as well

2: Base and box/crate - The crate was first made using foamcore and the front and left sides were cut out and then balsa wood was glued to the foamcore to make it into the crate. The top of the crate wasn't glued inplace until the lower half of the base was done.

The walls were done by using plaster cloth and cutting different size's and once wet it was just added the the sides of the walls and then it was either spread apart or pushed together to get the stone affect.

The stalagmites and stalagtites were made using plaster cloth and again cutting different sizes and once wet twisted one end then pressed the other end onto the ceiling and floor. The boulder was done by covering a foam ball with plaster and then while it it drying getting a damp brush I just brushed the plaster to and even level over the ball.

The roots/vines I picked up from a florist and then broke of pieces that I wanted. The moss is lichen moss which was mixed with some paint and then glued inplace and the ground cover is a mix of real dirt and pulled apart model railway shrubs and some dried lichen moss.

I looks fantastic. I like the style you did on this one too.

You could have a stack for each film. Kind of tell the story in dios maybe.

Another knockout! You make my childhood dream playset's come alive. Ah to be 12 again. You must have quite the display room!

I'd love to see pictures of the customs he bought. I know I've seen a bunch on here but I bet there are a lot I missed too.

I still remember the "DX" hasbro Indy you did. I probably would have given alomst my entire collection for that one. It looked unbelievable and it also made me really sad that hasbro didn't try to go all out on an ultimate Indy figure.

I know his away at the moment and I have still have the DX sitting in my display, I really need to get off my butt and do some more from the rest of the movies. I also have attached links for you to all the indy figures that I have done except for two of my very original 1/6 indy figures.

Bookmarked! Thanks. It's nice being able to see them all at one place.

Ron - I think I am going to try to mimic your DX Indy with the jacket to the best of my ability. I have the spare parts so even if I butcher it, it won't be the end of the world. What kind of paints did you use and how hard is it to frankenstein these bodies? I have never undertaken something like this before.

Thanks.

Hey mate,

It's not to hard to frankenstein the body all I did is,

1-Saw the cobra commander waist just where the body armour meets the pants.

2-Saw a indy body below the belt so you have the upper torso from the bottom of the belt upwards.

3-Superglue the the body parts together and let dry and the putty up the gaps if any.

And then I painted him using Vallejo and Games Workshop paints. If you need anymore help just let me know.
