Hi guys

This Iron Man 3 set of 1:10 statues is going be amazing. They are all made of polystone, they will have switch-out upper body for different posing.
They will probably have a second base that will be able to attach to another statue forming a diorama style display. (NOT CONFIRMED!)
Here is just a sneak peak of Iron Man MARK XLII, Iron Patriot and War Machine:

Not to bash this but 1:10??

Iron Studios is doing products in 4 different scales: 1/2, 1/4, 1/6 and 1/10.
They will compete with Kotobukiya line of 1/10 because these sell a lot down here. The difference is going to be that Kotobukiya products on this scale are made of PVC while Iron Studios will use Polystone.
Also you have to realize the market of collectibles in Brazil is not as big as in north america and other parts of the world. Even when i lived in Canada the guys that used to work at the local comic book store used to tell me they could not afford collecting statues. So i think the 1:10 scale is a good first step for people with limited budget that want to start collecting.

Got to remember those are made exclusively with the brazilian market in mind. They have to make smaller, more affordable scales for those who can't afford 1/2 or even 1/4 scale.

Trust me, I'm not against any scale as long as it looks good in the end. I'm just overwhelmed by the various scales that IM3 merchandise is being offered by different companies. Milkyway!!

Iron Studios released some pictures of the 1/10 Iron Man MArk XLII

I know the Iron Man Mark XLII has different shades of the golden color on the suit. It looks like they went the easy way to avoid problems and used only one type of gold color!
I do not like the painting in these Ultra zoom pictures. Maybe It is going to look ok in front of you as it is 1/10 scale. The things I like most are the Dio base that you can use with War Machine and the extra upper body part for alternative display.

Hi Ricardo, thanks for your effort in giving such heads up of 1:10. IS did did a great job in developing the statue with perfect sculpt and proportion by their 3D technique and it is a genuine look of Iron Man in my mind. Yet the paint job of hand brush is ridicuous and awkful. It looks like kid work. In order to concrete their market share in collectible field, amateur work should not be allowed from IS. In fact this is a must-but item to me with such sculpt, now I am deterred by such paint job. Hope the real product is not like this or IS simply just wastes their praiseworthy 3D production. If possible, please help to pass my view to IS people.

By the way, why not IS makes reference to a Hong Kong brand DRAGON 1:9 Iron Man. Their Vignette line does good paint job imo.

I like the poses but like you said the paint is really weak on these. If they stepped it up they'd sell like hot cakes.
