So it comes only a figure and stand.. no accessories... Hope that they will release a MMS version of this. It's hard to maintain a die cast model. Those paint chip issues

I actually think it won't have much of a paint issue due it being diecast and not plastic or whatever.

I'm only disappointed in the lack of accessories.

umm... severe Paint chipping is a long running MAJOR issue with Diecast toys....

Expect this to be MORE prone to it than Cap's shield.

No idea Just used to these figures coming with stuff. Will feel odd opening this and only taking out the stand, the figure and the instructions.

It's understandable though. Only way to keep the price low.

The thing that is bothering me is from the pics there is no abdominal articulation....at least $100 increase in price for materials, but a step back in articulation?

Good point . . . the abdomen looks stiff as a board.

The shoulder articulation looks pretty interesting, though.
The ability to perform an arms-crossed-over-chest pose would be cool.
The diecast seems like a gimmick. Metallic paint achieves the same effect (like the Mk. II 2.0)

Their HK price tag is the same as the T-800 Battle Damaged DX, so if Sideshow is going to price it in the same rate, it should be around $305. If they price it higher, then definitely they are gouging us! haha.

Though, I have a feeling it will turn up being $350, and people will still eat it up.

One of my biggest question is - how much die cast parts are there? The spec only word it "Contains Die Cast Parts" which could be anything....

I am still trying to convince myself to NOT buy anymore Iron Man 3 figures.... haha.

This is the only armour i want from IM3

There are four things holding me back in considering ordering it.

1. High Price, do i want it enough to pay such a huge price.
2 the HS of Rhodey should be without the helmet (not a big deal since i'd be using it as Norman Osborn
3. Nothing to it. No missiles or guns or battle damge options.
4. It being partially die cast makes me think HT is trying to gouge people while supplying a product that isn't as worthy of the price hike.

this is just HT's way of condoning making the price of a 1/6 figure over $300

I will never pay over $300 for a 1/6 MMS, I don't care what its made of

and I can't figure out where HT is going with this, people where already complaining about the rising prices of their MMS figures, now it seems they've just added another justification to make them even more expensive, HT will lose me as a costumer if they don't make normal plastic figures on the IM3 series

I didn't think i would like the Iron Patriot from what little I've seen, but this just looks freakin amazing!
Love the way the articulation was designed and that it's diecast!
