Hi everyone,

I've been wanting to create an explosion effect for a photo shoot for a long long long long time now and today I finally utilised a compressor and a length of garden hose to blast soil and cement everywhere (loads of fun, Safety goggles advised)

Anyway, I decided to shoot two British para's in the grounds of the hertenstein hotel in Arnhem.

Hope you like the pictures!!!

(And yes I do realise the continuity slips where the Bren gun turns into an MP40 and the second para appears from nowhere...but I'm not Steven Spielberg, Leave me alone lol)

All comments appreciated!!!

Cheers,
Peter.

Outstanding.

Even Speilberg films have continuity issues. :)

Here's a cool explosion effect you might be interested in. Looks simple to do.

Thanks INCOM, that is a really useful tip, with the explosion in my post, I was trying to cath the rubble flying through the air but, the film speed must have been too fast.

Cheers,
Peter.

Don't get me wrong, your explosion effect looks great, with the rubble raining down. Just showing you a different explosion effect.

Thanks again INCOM, I will be giving that method a go at some stage, looks very effective.

World war eleven? shouldn't things be more... futuristic looking?

Thanks lerath666, what you can't see in the photos is that the enemy are Martian cyborgs, caught in a time warp.

Looks great! I'm glad we are seeing more military dio's on this site!

Thanks blue devils, there are lots of shoots to come.

Cheers,
Peter.

Hi Everyone,

The Hannes Diehl figure I ordered before christmas arrived a few days ago and upon seeing just how awful the head sculpt on that figure really is...

Picture055.jpg

I decided to put my first expression face on the same body :)

Enjoy!

Wounded Kamerad.
Hi guys,

Here's a little shoot I put together to show off my new expression headsculpt. This is the first 'pained' expression I've done, made for poor wounded 1/6th figures lol.

Re: WW11 dio thread, Wounded Kamerad.

Hi Guys,

Here's my latest set up with my Band of brothers figures (All heads can be reproduced depending on interest - PM me if you are interested)

I also made all of the props for this scene (the cart, the shop front and the doors and ((with help from my son)) the shuttered windows)

The scene is not from the series, It's based on a photograph from the book, however I have used the characters from the series rather than the actual veterans.
