A:CM "Collector's edition statue Chatter/review/Thoughts? (I like it)

I don't want to get into whether or not anyone liked game itself

But I for one am happy I went with the collector's edition. I am really digging the statue. I can imagine some people see the power loader and only want "Ripley vs. Queen", but I for one am really digging the marine grunt vs. a Warrior.

I did feel the need to spice mine up a bit though! 1 v 1 wasnt a 'fair fight'. The hot toys "snap kits" go together with this PERFECT.


(I know I reeeeallly need to get good pictures instead of continuing to spread that bad one! I'll get some real good ones this weekend).

the statue looks kinda cool but for me it looks freaking stupid size wise, I mean, the aliens were not THAT big were they? kinda feels wrong to see them on top like that.

Camera is too close to get an accurate perspective so they look bigger than they are. Ill get some good pics this weekend and hopefully show off not only better scaling, but much more cool details of the loader itself.

I'm more disappointed in the size versus the accuracy of the Aline's scale. Compared to most other statues included in LE or CE games, it's rather small. The detail is awesome.

The unfortunate part too is that the scene this is based off was scrapped. It was in the 2011 demo but was cut when time gate took over.

Few more pics. Flash washes out some detail but I think they make my final point. Quite pleased.




And my "spiced up" one (with hot toys snap kit). I may add a 3rd alien when I get time to screw around with posing.

Went to GameStop just to check this thing out. It is teeny weeny.

Looks like I will have more fun customizing this than playing the actual game.
I wonder if it's in scale with revo queen?

Oh by the way, on the french edition box, they wrote the statue was made out of resin. BS, it's plastic.

I wish that status has a big size

I wish it was 1/12

and I wish the scene didn't get cut from the movie I mean game

I finished working on the marine and the powerloader, added screen accurate details and proper painting.
Now I'm asking myself if I should use the alien warrior or replace it by the queen.

What queen is in scale with this? The revoltech one? Great work by the way. If this would be 1/9 scale...

Yeah, the revo queen looks pretty in scale with it, but together it looks like a mini version of my ss queen vs powerloader dio.
You're right Ricky, I'm gonna stick to the original idea with the alien warrior attack.

I must say I really enjoy repainting the Alien, the sculptor, who ever he is, put a load of details in the design, despite the size...it's awesome. Respect for the job done on this dio.

Thanks Ricky. I was telling myself the same. The sculptor sure did a terrific job, unlike the game developper.
I decided to paint the Alien jaw tendrils in blue, I wasn't too satisfied by what I did the first time....looks better now
