“I am Iron Man.” The Iron Man 3 movie is coming in just three months and it is time to activate the armor! In view of the high anticipation of the Mark XLII character, Hot Toys is thrilled to present the 1/6th scale Power Pose Mark XLII Collectible Figurine from the new Power Pose Series from the Iron Man 3 movie as the debut of the Series, highlighting the powerful poses performed, LED light-up functions and figure stand with Mark XLII and the Stark Industries nameplate.

So they are statues. Weird. I wonder if HT will succeed with this sort of thing. I've got zero interest.

I want to say no, it will be over priced, come with little extras, while they MMS release will comes with extras, a Stark head, and of course be fully articulated.

Well I think they're gonna have to either tap into a new market (i.e., guys who collect Bowen Statues), or try to convert previous figure collectors into little statue collectors. I like statues, but at this scale I don't. I think there are lots of collectors who share the same mindset, and even more who want no statues at all, and I think that's HT's primary customer base. Brand name could go a long way though.

I'm kind of glad they're blowing their IM3 load this early. That means Batman will most likely dominate the rest of 2013.:lol

The figure looks great, but really dissapointed with the new pps, i mean, i was expecting the pps to be a 1/6 figure that can achieve different pose, not just the same pose in different state( flying and standing), great for those who collect statues, not for me tho

No, no, and no. Don't enter the statue business hot toys, do it at you peril. But send your painters to sideshow to show them how it's done ;)

If these are similarly priced with Koto PVC statues, I can see how I might be at least a bit interested. If it approaches the prices of their figures, then what's the point?

At least it looks kinda nice for what it is.

The 'iron'y here (sorry) , of course, is that for a statue from a line called 'power pose series' , the poses look pretty terrible

This is a fail, nice looking statue if your an ironman fan but a 1/6 statue, whats the point:dunno It don't look any better than the figures and your stuck with only two poses, likely no accessoires and big big pricetag:(

They should focus on the one idea I like they were going with, thats the diorama line started with the hall of armor. I'm not interested in that but hoping to see them tackle terminator and predator dio's like the predator 2 ship with trophy wall for the skulls or a terminator 2 steel mill with chains for lowering the dx13 into the moltin steel, stuff like that would get peoples blood flowing not sixth scale statues of figures that will be better:monkey4

I feel like this would've seemed better if SS had done it. With SS, the swappable legs would be more like a part of a statue that could be swapped out, like the Skaar statue's axe/sword. But with Hot Toys making this, it seems more like a... well... toy.
