I'm curious, what is with the sudden explosion in Miller TDKR product? It's not a bad thing at all, but is the animated movie really that big of an event for DC? There's this, the Koto, the Superman vs. Batman, and a new B&W on the way.

Interesting and somewhat different from normal Batman statue. Any idea on the price?

It does look like someone removed The Headless Horseman and replaced him with Batman...LOL...I like it alot

Yeah I hope they release one with the outfit being black and the suit being a nice darker grey.

Its clearly stylized (plus on horseback) to be the Miller Dark Knight Returns so :pfft: to those not wanting the blue suit. Its fine to make variants, but the colors should obviously go with the material its drawing from. Although in certain panels and at night the suit may appear deep grey to black, its clearly blue for the majority of the comic and anytime hes in direct light.

Niltusk, you are mistaken. In TDKR, Batman wears blue and gray with the yellow oval bat symbol up to the point he gets totaled by the Mutant Leader. From the time he heals and suits up again, he wears black and gray with the old school bat symbol on his chest. The cowl and cape are blue again when he armors up to fight Superman, however. Lynn Varley's colors are somewhat inconsistent, but from the splash page that this sculpture is based on, it is clear that Batman is wearing black and gray.

You kids should really do your research before you mock the authority.

You don't think the difference is that the Superman fight is under a direct light source? If the cape were black it would appear jet black at night/evening like the scenes where hes on the horse. I could swallow that the second cape is a deep blue, but not black. And yes, the colors are inconsistent, but with lighting its seems most consistently blue shades. I just don't think a black cape somehow magically has blue highlights at night, but yes, I know some panels look like its deep grey towards charcoal, but heres a horse shot.

Lotta blue in there for it being evening.
