I'd love to see this storyline on film, the bleak atmosphere would be amazing.

I'd prefer the first sequel to have mankind turn on mutants after lulling them into a sense of comradery, culminating in the death of mutant leader Charles Xavier and leading into the final film of the trilogy with Magneto leading mutantkind in a quest for survival against sentinels and racist humans.

Either way i'm looking forward to this film as the first was one of the most enjoyable Superhero films ever.

Characters will likely be different but the core elements (sentinels, enslavement) the same i'd reckon.

What is so bad? Days of Future Past is a classic story. This screams like a potential reboot/clever way to reuse already casted people.

I don't think Marvel needs those characters anymore. X:FC and the first two Raimi Spidey flicks are sufficient for me with regard to those characters. I guess it'd be cool for Marvel to own them all for something like Secret Wars or Infinity Gauntlet though.

I honestly think Marvel has their hands full right now. They are going to be working hard pumping out two movies a year for the next six to eight years as it is. They don't need any more characters to deal with until the eventual end of the current generation of contracts.

How about X-Men: First Classier. X-Men: Second Class? At this point they've impressed me so much with First Class I'm in for whatever they do.

Its because Fox Executives know that the rumor of there being X-Men comics is as false as the rumors of Bigfoot and Chupacabras existing.
