As an owner of all three 1:18 1966BATS by HotWheels, I think personally that the Elite is actually a much better buy and delivers a better deal for the cost than the Super Elite.
In the order of release,
there's the
Comic Con Exclusive Batfuzz (The flocked version that came in a tube)
The Standard release
Elite
Super Elite
Mattel made 4 other sizes
standard Hot Wheels at 1/64? / boxed SDCC version, std, super fast wheels, Redline Club edition, and various Halloween releases)
1/87 (i think) smaller-than-standard boxed / rare
1/50 blister packed (penguin version, w tow hitch version)
and
1/40(?) elite boxed
and a Remote Control in 1/18 most recently
The one on the pedestal in the pic above is DC Direct and it's cold cast porcelain / resin.
Now there's a new slot car based on the 66 tv version that comes in a slot car set
Call me a cheapskate if you wish, but I bought the $30 standard edition and have been very happy with it. I think it makes a spectacular display piece for the price, despite not having those few extras.
