New from Inflames Toys－齊天大圣 The monkey king

Always loved the Monkey King, I'll be picking this up.

My favorite character from Chinese story.

the outfit is pretty sick, but would indeed like a more mean looking face with more / longer hair and facial hair

The outfit is beautifully sculpted. But i'm massively unimpressed with the head sculpt. It's not bad but I don't think it's particularly fitting for such a majestic figure!
I would've been all over a 1/6 70's TV version of Monkey though

I feel the same way, not at all feeling the head sculpt. I can't help but see a bit of David Tennant in there

I actually like the head sculpt. It's clear they went for the Chinese tv show look that I loved as a kid.

Finally found the actors name. Just google "liu xiao ling tong sun wukong". I'm 99% sure thats the wukong they're going for as it's what most Chinese probably associate as Wukong. Anyone else ever see that show?

That's my review . Boy, times have changed. The Tao figure is quite nice for the time, but this new figure looks badass. Easily my first purchase from InFlames!!!

Another name for the Monkey King is Hanuman, from Hinduism.

So is thus up for pre-order anywhere?

i thought he was turning into a bouquet of flowers or something.
