The color does look washed out. Also the base looks cheap. Slight concern with the 2 I have on order now. Still an awesome piece, but I hope their $$$$ items are flawless...

Exactly. The blues especially are not the same color as the prototype. If it matched the prototype, it wouldn't look washed out.
