Wow... I actually prefer that fully painted look to the translucent plastic look the official figure has. Quality looks just as good.

People said NECA might have made a "China release". The paint looks the same to me other than the fact that they skipped the gloss process.

Or, the factory in China made these productions without NECA's approval, using the same cast. I wouldn't be surprised.

If it is cheaper, good material for repaint projects. But the guy in HK bought it for $109 USD ($850 HKD)!! lol

This could be a repaint, you know... the quality itself isn't much different, so maybe whoever put it together just wasn't a fan of the semi-translucent plastic.

I think it's a fake version!!!! here r some break apart pics I took before repaint!!!!
as u can see, although the mold look like the same, but the material are totally different......also the paint job are very bad!!!!!
BTW, it's not cheap..........it's cost me ($800 HKD).......!!!!

It is not a repaint. This is confirmed to be a bootleg. A lot of toy stores in HK are selling non-gloss ones.

I believe yours is real. The glossy body, and everything looks the same as mine. I got mine from Toys R Us it has to be real.

Be careful, it is fake version. I saw it in HK; the quality is bad. Three versions used the same style box, closed mouth.

It needs to moisturise by the looks of it.

Why is someone bootlegging an already mass-produced toy? I got the impression from the fake HT Wolverines that the idea of it was to take advantage of rarity and high market value. I dunno, I don't fully understand the choices behind it. Maybe someone can explain...

5000 each head is "mass produce"? I would think that is very limited. This figure has waaaaaay more demand world wide than 15,000 quantity.

If production cost is about $10-15 each or less (factory isn't designing anything, no royalty fees, etc), selling retail for $109 is more than reason enough. I can't think of any other business that has a higher profit margin.

I suppose I was just basing what I said on the fact that everyone here at SSF who wanted one got one and some are trying to sell theirs. As we know SSF = The World :D

Hey I found another bootleg predator...

I was thinking the exact same thing, but I guess anything you can make a buck out is doable?
this is kinda weird, but funny, if this is bootleg how is it being made? I mean, now do they copy all these toys and statues? just a question that i am curious about
