At this price point this figure is a pass for me.

I had originally bought God of War last year on Black Friday, and sat on it for almost a full year. Finally started it last weekend and I can't believe I waited so long. Really enjoying the game, love kicking ass with Kratos. Except for the yelling sculpt, this looks pretty good. I can get it for under $200 using rewards on Sideshow.

The Mondo ex looks cool, but if I order direct, shipping is over $35 bucks from Mondo. ****ing ridiculous.

It's one of my favorite games of all time! I was tempted by this 1/6 Mondo fig, but I ended up getting the NECA 1/12 two-pack with Kratos and Atreus. Both are excellent figures!

I have the Kratos and Boi 2 pack as well and while they are great looking figures mine came with some QC issues, I would also say they aren't really 1/12 since Kratos is 8 inches tall.
The Mondo figure never cut it for me because it just doesn't look like a "true" 1/6 figure, his sculpted clothing being the thing that bothers me the most, I really wish they had at least used some fabrics for the wrists, waist and legs, the wrists especially would've been a nice touch if you could unwrap the bandages and reveal the scars from the chains but oh well…
The yawn head is also a let down, overall I feel like I would regret the purchase since it's even more unlikely we'll ever see Mondo do Atreus as well so the Neca 2 pack will have to do it for me!

It's not suprising Mondo used plastic for the forearm wraps, even Hot Toys doesn't use fabric for that. Certain characters like Thor should have cloth on or under gauntlets and they use plastic too.

This piece was slated to release this month right? Think that we are still going to be getting it in this early spring window? Has Mondo made any mention of it recently?

My ore order in the UK has been put back from end of March to April now. Apart from specialist 1/6 shops, we tend to get figures months later after USA so I'm expecting end of the year if anything at best for me. Didn't realize others had a March date too.

Can see it being a rolling date change due to the world going crazy.

Updates would be nice but I understand that figure companies hate any communication. Just have to wait I guess.

Is becoming a monthly slide with the release date. Don't even get notified anymore, just check the figure listing once a month to see if it's delayed.

Wish manufacturers kept us up to date but it seems Hot Toys set the precedent to keep shut and just release whenever and not even show changes

Here are some quick pics and thoughts. To be honest, my expectations were pretty low for this figure after seeing in-hand pics of Gordon Freeman. However, I am pleasantly surprised. This figure is big, heavy, and the accessories are great. He actually has magnets in his left arm, so swapping out the shields is easy. Also, the magnets help keep his chains wrapped around his arm. There are a lot of great details, like the scars from his chain burns. The head sculpts also turned out better than I was expecting. My only complaints are that the pelt under his chest belt isn?t the greatest and I don?t know how far I want to push the possibility of his upper body. Overall, I am happy with him (but I am also not that picky either). I just wish we were getting an Atreus.
