Action Figure Mondo God of War 1/6 Kratos

I plan on preordering him. However, I am not sure if he will stay in my collection without an Atreus. I am really hoping he is announced eventually.

I really wish the clothing wasn't made of plastic, one of the main reasons I buy 1/6 scale figures is the clothing and tailoring, but it's a solid figure, I wish the articulation was a bit more concealed as well, but it is what it is. I'll probably have to see more pics of this before I make up my mind.

Yup, definitely need an Atreus as well.

Arms look short and out of scale a bit? Could just be the posing.

This is Mondo? If ever we needed proof that they could do better than what we're seeing with the Masters of the Universe figures, this is it.

Beard looks a little like cake frosting. Hopefully it's masked better in hand.

It does look like an up-sized version of the NECA one TBH.

Placed a safe PO at BBTS.

I was confused as to how/why Mondo's exclusive version is only $5 more than the standard, but then I discovered that the cheapest option to ship the figure to me on Mondo's site is $23.14, actually making the exclusive version $20-30 more than the standard (if you get it from BBTS or some other place with cheap or free shipping)!

...So yeah, I think I'll also lock in a PO on BBTS for the standard version!

I went ahead and preordered the exclusive. That shipping definitely hurt, but I was expecting it to be around 250 anyway. Plus, I really like the exclusive weapons.

Everything about this figure looks great so far. The only thing I'm not too confident in is the body.

True. Doublejointed arms would be nice and the head needs work...severely so!

Yes, the screaming head is not that good. Hopefully they can improve. Doubt it though.

Personally, I've been very happy with my Mondo figs so far (TMNT and MOTU, and Batman TAS). The only real issue is the scale. For the TMNT, I thought they had it perfect. But for Batman and He-Man, they aren't really 1/6 scale... it's more like they are just 12 inch figures. But depending on your display, it may or may not be an issue...

I have never owned a Mondo fig before. However, I am one of those collectors that vastly prefers true 1/6 scale over 12" figures. The listing info says this figure is approximately 13" tall which sounds about right.

Not a fan of the screaming head myself, but my comment was meant to point out that the detail on Kratos' body, armor, and normal head blows away what they've done with He-Man.

I really want this figure as I suspect its going to be the only 1/6 Kratos we get of this quality. But man that screaming head looks absolutely terrible. Looks likes hes yawning, not screaming. Never bought something from this company before so not sure how well they handle feedback and are likely to change it.

This is the first figure where they use actual mixed media. All the rest have been plastic and rubber. Maybe Skeletor has a cloth cape but don't care to look for it.

I have seen that some guy from Mondo comunicated with fans in the Mindo TMNT days.

I do not know if he still does.
