Sly and Dolph shown their Hot Toys figures at The Expendables prem in Tokyo

Just posted on the HT FB page-

Stallone fans, you know what’s up? Our Barney Ross collectible figure from The Expendables movie was showcased in the movie premiere in Tokyo just now! What’s more, Stallone was holding our collectible figure on his hand which had been personally approved by himself!

He was interviewed for the premiere and was featured on our Japan website - He said that he just can’t believe how great the figure is and is surprised by the details of the body tattoo and the hair style which are very accurate to his style in the movie! He also thanked Hot Toys for the support, adding that he has never seen such kind of great figure before and ranking Hot Toys as the no. 1 worldwide collectible figure company!

He also appreciated our figure together with Mr Dolph Lundgren who acted as Gunner Jensen in the movie, while Dolph wanted to have one of his character too!

Just look at the one where he's pointing something out to Lundgren! He seems as happy as we (well, I, am) when I get a new HT figure!!!

Seeing these pics make me look forward to the Barney Ross figure even more! Plus I hope HT might get triggered to make a Gunner Jensen figure now as well!!!

If Sly himself approves the body... HT will unlikely to make any changes and give us a slimmer cut Sly... Sly may have not bothered to strip him but just base on the proto pics..

The proto fig. actually kind of reflects his current body shape..

If the man himself likes it, why change it?

The HT Japan article is a funny read. Sly was really impressed with his figure - couldn't believe how good it looked, and made some jokes about how even his figures age, and that HT even managed to get the more receded hairline of B. Ross correct in comparison to the (younger) Rocky figure (which Sly states states he has). Sly also makes some suggestions for HT to apply their talents and make some prop replicas and costumes, and also proposes for 10 B. Ross figures to be auctioned off to support needy kids. Dolph later comes in and pleads with HT to make a figure of his character. It's also funny that the Japanese translation for Sly and Dolph is done with a very coarse and male style of speech - I doubt that's how they actually spoke (in English).
