Implying anyone will settle down with Yamcha Gine is disappointing I'll give you that, while Videl is strictly human and when we were in the climax of the Saiyan saga, being human really didn't cut it - Krillin was the only survivor and then when Frieza came into the picture, he died as well. The survivors by that point were either Saiyan, Namekian or half-human. So it's not Videl's fault, but she tried to help honestly. Chichi gets points for having no fear against the Saiyans, Frieza (well kinda) and Super Buu.

Pan is pretty weak though regardless, GT rarely if ever shows off her ability to fight decently from memory. So it doesn't matter.

I love Videl, and I actually like Bulma too. But in terms of power relevance, there basically is no female except 18, and her strike was short to boot.

And of all things, Z is all about power.

Has Beerus been confirmed for BoG2? Because why wouldn't there be more gods who could be female?

Pan was strong enough to hold her own, but considering how powerful Gohan has become, the apple shouldn't fall far from the tree if you get my drift. I recall an old interview where the editors of GT were asked why Pan never went Super Saiyan, and their response was something like "we have no idea what a female Super Saiyan would look like." ... come on, really? Goten/Trunks went SS at like 5 years old no problem, but a 12 year old Pan can't manage? That makes no sense. But whatever, what's done is done. I'd love for them to reveal Queen Vegeta as a ruthless badass like Vegeta was perhaps in next year's upcoming film in a flashback sequence, but I'm not holding my breath.

I love Videl, Bulma, Lunch, and 18! Goku spending time with Pan at the end of Z is easily one of my favorite moments!

@Crisis Did you read the multi-verse? Our universe Pan is great, but the alternate universe Bra is one of the best characters! I didn't like Vegito in the actual series, but that's just because Boo was so poorly written, in my opinion. He's in character there, but it's a universe where Vegito never split to defeat Super Boo, and when he had Bra with Bulma, she obtained his massive power. Super Boo is also awesome, because he's from a universe where he absorbed EVERYONE. He's one of the best characters. Gohan is written in character, being a loving father, and not being a part of the fight, but he doesn't clown around like the Boo saga. He's fully mature, and it's just awesome to see!

I agree that it would be fantastic to get a goddess for the next movie. I'm so excited for it!

Well, aside from Pan only being 4 years old in Z (the only canon storyline, created by Toriyama himself, not Toei). I think that's understandable. Now, I think it is more than likely that female Saiyans lack a certain genetic mutation/hormone, which allows their male counterparts to transform, while they cannot. It also might have been said that it was an impossibility due her pedigree. However, this conclusion is null and void; as we see both future kid Goku and future kid Vegeta transform.

Well pan is GT, so any logical argument we make is null and void to start with. I have every belief that Pan and Bra had the ability to go ssj, its just the writers, like most things in GT, either couldnt be bothered or forgot.

Like Rrashidp said, read multiverse; that fan manga is actually better than GT imo, and makes alot more sense at least!

For the record, dragonball minus is the only thing Toriyama made that I dont see as canon, purely because it contradicts EVERYTHING we know about Gokus arrival on earth as well as totally change bad*** Bardock into some compassionate fool. Imo if something new contradicts older canon, it doesnt exist, simple as that. Goku was not a 3 year old when he arrived on earth, he was a baby, that in itself nullifies the entire story.

Lets be honest, Toriyama pulled that out his backside just as something to appease fans.

In my mind I always viewed Goku's mom as having been a member of Bardock's team, and while a capable fighter, she was also very reckless which lead to Bardock having to save her from many situations. She gets injured on the battlefield, Bardock escorts her to safety to heal, their attraction leads to lust which results in Raditz, their lust gradually turns into feelings which results in a second child, Karrotrot (screw that "softness disease" nonsense, Gine could've been a highly attractive Saiyan with Kate Upton measurements so of course Bardock would claim her as his own, heh). Soon after, eager to get back on the battlefield, her recklessness eventually gets her killed. Either Bardock gets upset or doesn't care, who knows, immediately after, the events of the Bardock movie special should start. Personally THAT'S how I feel it should've been like give or take some details here n there. I see no reason to have her in the kitchen preparing meat like a "good" housewife is supposed to do. Like Deano said, just Toriyama pulling this stuff outta his ass which doesn't surpise me.

I think that 'lack of gene/hormone' could be the case. I also imagined maybe it was the strain of these genes due to the fact that past Gohan, every Saiyan was less than 1/2 Saiyan so it could be lost. Goku and Vegeta Jr. are likely, following math, 1/16th Saiyan. And to be fair, Goku Jr. did turn Super Saiyan in response to a need. But again, GT defies several established facts of Saiyans, like how Vegeta got a mustache when pure blood Saiyans do NOT grow hair at all past a certain point - which Goku and Vegeta, factually, have long since reached. Chances are, Goku's tail coming back is going against a fact too since it was removed entirely. Same with Vegeta.

If we were (please, let's not - this is hypothetical ) to take GT seriously...Goku having a harder time maintaining Super Saiyan 3 as a child does make sense since he already struggled while dead, and then alive, so something similar could be the case with Pan. Also Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta could not stay fused for that long if I recall, due to the significant amount of power. She probably never got the 'need', and Goten and Trunks, while their needs were childish (Trunks wanted to catch up, Goten was just him in response to Chichi? Idk), still had them like their family members, same with Goku Jr. Pan probably COULD have had the 'need' but maybe never tapped into it. I don't know if she really got any true training like Gohan, Goten and Trunks did, so that could contribute it.

Also on Android 18, I can't agree more. That was pretty sad, that she was once able to keep up with Super Saiyan Vegeta and likely still able to, yet by the Buu Saga, she can't. She should have been able to fight Buu at least.

In terms of implemented articulation 18 really is a knock out of the park. Brilliantly done.

Honestly, I may find 18 the best release yet, overall. I would've preffered the shirt shoulder straps and an extra face, over krillin's head and hand, but that's pretty subjective.

Man as far as Funkos go, him and SSJ Goku look great. Especially because Vegeta looks a little imposing and has crossed arms, separating him from the rest.

Toyarena has 18 for 42.99, cheapest I know.
