I know it's been awhile but I haven't REALLY gotten to the parks much this year so far…. and I'm happy to say that has changed.

Starbucks in Downtown Disney has opened:

And Captain America Meet & Greet has been added to Innoventions. Now you can see Iron Man's Hall of Armor, meet Thor in Asgard, and meet Captain America all in one area!

The Golden Vine Winery is also great for beer! I get the Brother Thelonius.

I'm actually pretty disappointed - nothing in the catalog jumps out at me.

What if it was in 3D??

(hehe j/k)

And no, nothing really grabs me neither… I AM curious about that Jabba the Hutt though. But if it's anything like the Latex Yoda or Salacious Crumb, i may just leave it.

Also shocking that there's no new action figures really. It's all just rebundles of existing product. But hey, that means I can spend elsewhere!

Big Thunder is fully operational again! I haven't ridden it since either late 2012 or early 2013. It's great to see it back.

Big Thunder or Geonosis?

You can see the goat from back here!

These shots are a little dark so turn up the brightness on those monitors!

The final lift has been updated the most. Since the early 80s, Big Thunder was all about an earthquake. We had rocks that were hanging overhead, crumbling rocks, all that kind of stuff… and stuff that were removed over the years. Now it's completely different. It's a mine shaft FILLED with dynamite and when you enter, it's all about to go off.

Boom!

It's loads of fun, a really cool effect, and super smooth. I can't wait to ride it again.

I think that catalog may just be the stuff they will have available for purchase at the ticketed Rebel Rendezvous event.

Disneyland held a private after hours event for select annual pass holders to celebrate "green". It was St. Patrick's Day and also an excuse to preview 10 minutes of Muppets Most Wanted.

The private event was open from 9pm-12am and most of the rides were still open as well as some exclusive food offerings. I just went for the karl strauss beer truck. There was a DJ by Tower of Terror and also meet & greets with Mike Wazowski.. because he's green.

For the night, the fountains and lights on Paradise Pier and Bay were all tuned to green.

Even the Grizzly Peak was sporting some green.

It was a fiasco getting wristbands to enter the event so it didn't leave all that much time to enjoy the park but it was a nice and different way of walking around and enjoying the park. At the end, they handed out a 100 piece puzzle of Muppets Most Wanted so that was nice.

Anyone else hoping that TRON 3 is made so that ElecTRONica comes back? I never got to go :(

I want a Tron 3 for more than just Electronica. There's talk about TRON rides and it'll never come to pass if TRON 3 doesn't happen. But you know who WILL get a Tron ride in 2015? Shanghai Disneyland. START SAVING!

On a side note, my friend and I made our own Disneyland vs Walt Disney World March Madness Bracket. Will you guys help out by ranking your favorite Disneyland and Walt Disney World attractions? We selected 32 attractions from each resort and if you're wondering why some are missing, we gave the ride to the resort it first originated from. I know that may give Disneyland a slight advantage due to its age but do your best!
