I really hate this. It was supposed to be army of darkness 2 and then a third movie that would connect the reboot and AOD2

They need characters to kill off aside from Bruce is my guess. I doubt they'll be much more of a "sidekick" than anyone in ED1 or 2 in the cabin with him was. Hope so at least.
 
I just hope this is gonna be like Raimi's Hercules/Xena. Smart writing is the key.
