I have little idea. I once bought a discounted figure for less than $10 (I vaguely remember) without knowing what character that was. Found the figure super posable.

I do believe prices varys drastically with popularity of figures on the secondary market....

Agreed but I think that's how some anime figs style their capes.

very much inspired by manga/animé characters. Makes me think of Saint Seiya/Zodiac Knights figures.

If their Boba comes out well I'll be hoping for a Slave 1 too!

That's how Kayodo works with articulated capes...probably the only way to have them poseable like the rest of the fig.
