I have Mark 1-7 except for 3 hoping that they would rerelease it ever since that Diecast announcement and I'm extremely glad I didn't buy the overpriced original. My only disappointment is that they didn't include some BD effect but I'm not surprised if they do a BD version along with a re-release of a Mark 2.

The Mark 43 is the closest we will probably get to the Heartbreaker armor. The Mark 3 is classic. Honestly, the Mark 6 is probably my favorite. And I know they will eventually get that one done in diecast too.

Did you mean bleeding edge? Since we do have a heartbreaker. ;)

VII gets my vote, other than the wonky faceplate. VI was also my favorite before that one. I'd say between III and 43, the Mk III if you can absolutely only have one. But I'd wait till after you see AoU because 43 might have some awesome moments in the movie. Like not falling apart and not getting hit by a truck.

I'm surprised not many people are making a big deal about how wrong the candy red is for this suit.

I guess it's a mix of new collector's who missed out on the first figures plus old collector's who just wanted a new Mk 3 release. :dunno

I'm more excited to have a Mark III that isn't goofy looking

Maybe I'm looking at different pics but the proportions on this one doesn't look any better than the first 2 attempts. Neck looks better but still stiff/long looking, shoulders jet out the same. It just looks like they put the new helmet and neck on the old Mk.III :huh

The color is a bit of a mix bag to be honest. In the official artbook they show the suit in candy red and some other official images show the suit in candy red as well. Other times it's in a burgundy red colorway.

Personally I wish they would have gone with the darker red like the one you see in the 1/1 scale replica.

Well it's always had shoulder pads, those stick out, but that neck in the second image is a huge improvement

Yeah, I meant Bleeding Edge. Thanks. I get those 2 confused. Yeah and by the time they release AOU figs, they may be up to the Mark VI in the diecast line. But this one looks really good. And all the reviews of the Diecast figs said they are amazing.

I'm talking more about the gap between the torso and the shoulder. HT hasn't shown any photos of it from the front like how they normally do with all the accessories so either they're going to address that with something like the 42's shoulder or they didn't bother to change anything and know people will slap them for it.

Well you could choose one now and if they did do the Mark 6 later on you could pick that up and either have both or sell the Mark 6, thats better than betting on a Mark 6 which doesnt come out.

So for now the question is between classic or modern styling?

I hope I can get in on one of these orders as this is something which could make me go for one of those accessory packs, that or buy the Mark 42 test version Tony.

It could get hit by a truck and walk away without a dent this time? Im hoping for lots of epic moments with the 43, like the free fall sequence!

Technically, the Mk III is more of a burgundy red instead of the candy apple red of the IV and subsequent suits.

Just checked out the Iron Man versus the tank scene from the first movie on youtube. Yup, I see what you're saying now.

Hot Toys has to know just how intense their Iron Man buyers are--I'm sure this color issue will be fixed.
