Rockford Files one of the finest tv shows...ever. One great actor and a true legend. He would have been great in a superhero film ala Redford in TWS.
He will be missed...

Don't laugh, but I like him in Marverick and the Notebook, well heck a bunch of things. Very sad to see him go since I have seen him in a lot of stuff.

I always thought he was such a handsome guy, and funny too.

He was a Robert Mitchum type of actor in that acting wasn't an art to him, but a job that he did very well. Wasn't a snob about it.

Rockford Files, Maverick, and Support Your Local Sheriff were all really good. But my favorite film of his was, by far, the Americanization of Emily, written by the brilliant Paddy Chayefsky. Not as well known as it should be. Both Garner and Andrews' favorite film that either of them did.
