it certainly doesn't have to do with men not being able to handle boobs on tv. If anything America is obsessed with porn, You might not be able to see it on tv but Americans certainly do love their porn.

I remember when Janet Jackson showed up her boob in the superbowl most of the complaints came from churches and whatnot, there was a hue protest in Middle america

Neither Palestine nor Israel are innocent. So supporters of both should stop acting like the other is the bad guy. A little word like compromise would serve them well.

So very well said.

And besides which, T2 is better. I bet Israel AND Palestine know that.

lol

Nipples be some hardcore ***t.

lol

People actually lost their jobs due to Nipplegate. :slap

A 2 second flash of half a nipple almost corrupted and ruined our children.

At any moment on FB I can go to female friends walls and find shirtless firemen with exposed nipples.

I Swear, A girl can be topless and just putting Tape on her nipple and it is allowed.

Even paint is allowed, Like when girls do those painted shirt things but their boobs are showing,.

Nope!

has nothing to do with that, the problem is that religious people in control don't want Little kids to see boobs, that's it. That's the reason.

If it was because Men find them too sexual stimulating then there would be bans on porn or nude magazines.

But since kids have access to TV then they have to censor boobs.

The Irony here is that not only do babies grow up seeing their mom's boobs every day, But kids today have unlimited access to the Internet where they can see all kinds of boobs.

This truly is prehistoric thinking from hardcore church going people lol

Once again, my point went completely over your head. Oh well.

I don't see his whole apology quoted in this thread.
The end of the apology is why I think it is said to be "insufficient".

"Dear Gentlemen of the ADL:

I am deeply remorseful that comments I recently made in the Playboy Interview were offensive to many Jewish people. Upon reading my comments in print—I see how insensitive they may be, and how they may indeed contribute to the furtherance of a false stereotype. Anything that contributes to this stereotype is unacceptable, including my own words on the matter. If, during the interview, I had been asked to elaborate on this point I would have pointed out that I had just finished reading Neal Gabler’s superb book about the Jews and Hollywood, An Empire of Their Own: How the Jews invented Hollywood. The fact is that our business, and my own career specifically, owes an enormous debt to that contribution.

I hope you will know that this apology is heartfelt, genuine, and that I have an enormous personal affinity for the Jewish people in general, and those specifically in my life. The Jewish People, persecuted thorough the ages, are the first to hear God’s voice, and surely are the chosen people.

I would like to sign off with “Shalom Aleichem”—but under the circumstances, perhaps today I lose the right to use that phrase, so I will wish you all peace
–Gary Oldman."

The highlighted portion is the part that proves it insincere.
What a lot of b.s. Talk about going over the top. He doth protest too much.
He totally invalidated everything he said before.

"The Jewish People, persecuted thorough the ages, are the first to hear God’s voice, and surely are the chosen people."
He seriously said that??

"I would like to sign off with “Shalom Aleichem”—but under the circumstances, perhaps today I lose the right to use that phrase, so I will wish you all peace"
Why just jump the shark when you can fly over it in a rocket cycle?
If only he had quit while he was ahead.

I don't :lol But the whole apology seemed extremely staged and transparent from the beginning. If you're a public figure, in the vast majority of cases you can't afford to be honest with people. Or people will turn on you. The masses look to actors, politicians, musicians, etc. to tell them what they expect to hear for the most part (even if there is some variation of course--Tea Bagger politicians can say "outrageous" things to pander to their base, country music singers are expected to behave in one way whereas rappers in another, and indie rockers in yet another). I do get some hope from the fact that this isn't always the case though. Louis C.K. for instance seems to lay it all out there, and still is extremely popular.

Of course it's BS, damage control. No matter what he said that would have been obvious.

He would have been ok if he stopped before "I hope you will know that this apology is heartfelt, genuine, and that I have an enormous personal affinity for the Jewish people in general, and those specifically in my life. The Jewish People, persecuted thorough the ages, are the first to hear God’s voice, and surely are the chosen people."
Then it would be b.s. without it sounding like b.s.

I would rather he just forgot about the whole thing and let it go. No apology needed. I'm sure he passed a big check under the table as well.

When politics is a joke and comedians get political, I'll settle for fake apologies.

No one can say its B.S. unless they can read his heart. And more importantly, does anyone really give a **** what an actor thinks?

If he really believed what he said about the Jews being first to hear God’s voice, and surely are the chosen people., then he wouldn't have said what he said in the first place and would have nothing to apologize for. You don't go from truly believing that the Jews are the chosen one minute and then say disrespectful things about the Jews the next. It is much too incongruent. It really isn't possible to be honest about both statements. They are much too far apart in their meaning.

The first part of the apology could be believed which amounted to, "I shouldn't have said that. I was wrong. I apologize." Maybe it's true, maybe it's not, but at least he made an apology.
What he said later is clearly a lie, which makes you think that everything he said before was a lie, too. After all, he is an actor, which makes him a professional liar.
