Thanks guys, I have seen enough pictures to be fairly secure in my purchase and I got the MMS117 as well as an MMS136 for ~$300 total, so I will be happy when they arrive.

It's they way these things go in this hobby I guess. I was going to buy another set of MMS136 clothes to use both sculpts. Then I found a partially clothed (boots, pants and hands) body on Yahoo and was going for that. Then I found a complete set for less than the body and jacket and shirt would have cost had I went the separate route as well as an MMS117. :lol

But just in case it's a dud I will get a DX10 head and change heads. It will work out cheaper than a DX10 anyway.

You'd need a DX10 body if you did that. That head doesn't really work on an MMS body.

Don't worry, :lol

I realize.. the MMS117 sculpt is lacking in many respects..

..but regardless - the DX10 head's ****ed up in it's own way.

The almost afro perfect round hair, & the eyes look like Benicio's for sure in shell's pics there.

Plus not a single wrinkle. :lol

Yeah, 117 and DX-10 both look like stunt doubles to me now, but they both have their charms. If I was more into T2, I would be happy with either one of them.

When Hot Toys pack the Kyle Reese figure a extra "Missing Link" T-800 headsculpt, that can push the sell.

Yep this thing must be going into production as we talk, well type. We have not seen the final product though, only the proto which was shown at the start of the year.

Having said that, MMS136 isn't as badly off as MMS117 was. The body size pretty much works correctly for T1 and even if the shape is wrong the outfit disguises it where the T2 leathers did not. The 136 headsculpts, even though they're based off of toadface 117, don't look horribly wrong. I still think they're squashed but frankly I don't have faith in HT to correct that and not **** up something else so on balance it's probably as good as it will get.

So I dunno if it's something HT would consider unless they see money in catering to people who weren't collecting when 136 came out.

Good idea. The new facesculpt is a way better.

@shells075, the prototype have some problems.
The hair is a bit too short, the face a bit too wide/squished. With respect to face proportions, the lower part of the
face is to short, compared to the forehead. The sunglasses are not
placed so well, too low.

The pants have now the right color and the face is not so squished. Unfortunately, the hair is a bit too short and the endoeye is too big compared to the (too small)human eye and the overall face proportions. Further, the cheekbones could be bigger/more pronounced, the nose and the area between the nosetip and lips a little bit longer.

Buy whatever figure you like best and enjoy your purchase

I agree neither the MMS-117 or the Dx-10 is perfect. Both do somethings right while doing somethings wrong. Personally I like my MMS-117 and have not bothered to buy the DX-10 and I am ok with that.

It's your collection buy what you like.
