I don't agree. We all know something better is going to come out no matter what, it's just a fact. When we order something it's because we really want to have it in our collection. Emergencies? Yes, they happen and it sucks. But just for the hell of it? You've got a problem. But hey, what do I know. SSC must love you guys when you do that.
And to think some people have to wait until payday to pay for those NRD's

The wait on some Collectibles does have this sobering effect. Many of us have been caught up in the hype of a release at least once, so it's good that you're able to take a step back and realize you don't need this piece in your collection anymore.

That's not a good approach either.
The one good thing about Hot Toys is that if you decide to sell your figure, you can generally make your money back and then some. That's not true with other collectibles.
But I don't know if that will continue to be the case in the future, especially if you sell it on eBay and they fee you to death.

This is where I am now.. As long as we waited for this, the excitement just isn't there anymore.. I thought the in hand pics would elevate my excitement level but I'm like meh. I would still like to own this because the 42 die cast is a great looking fig and I collect IM armors, but I don't care when it comes.

The best things come to those who wait.
I'm looking forward to mine, I try to stay out of threads of figures I'm interested in for the most part, I pop in at the announcement with a comment or two, then wait til the reviews hit YouTube. I think if you hang out in a thread awaiting a figure for 6 months to year you can get bored by the time it actually ships.

I'm bummed out, man. I was ready to get this and Robocop and Heartbreaker this month when I ordered in the spring. Heartbreaker gets delayed until October and this (which was originally July) gets delayed several times as well as diecast Robocop delayed to September. Someone else said this has felt like Tony did waiting for the Mark 42 armor in the movie and I have to agree. Then I find out he has a rubber butt! Oh well, I just hope it's everything it's been made out to be. I'm just tired of the wait.

I don't think its 100% that.... I'm still getting Heartbreaker and I ordered that way before this... I think I ordered this in March or April..... anyway It probably plays some part in it..... Thanks

Might be an issue with head itself, where'd you get the figure from? See if they can help you
Does anyone have issues with the lights in the head dimming? I replaced the batteries and they are still dull. Any tips?

U get your money back, or put I towards something else? I know I have my last payment on Monday. It is ironic, I never had plans on getting Thor, and was worried up to the point until I got it. Now I love it. Had I gotten one with crappy arms probably would have been pissed with the whole concept and sworn off collecting (as I just started). Worried about this one or just not doing it for you anymore? Funny too, it sold out when it first came up, then slowly people got buyers remorse. I get it all the time. Thank god for another online toy store and their no hassle pre order cancels.

Yeah I just wanted to drop this one, I never liked the suit to begin with.... and with the AOU suit looking incredibly similar to this with less Gold(which is the main reason I dislike this one) I just decided I would cancel this... but its got nothing to do with the arm issue or the diecast....
Also I could use a new keyboard
