I actually enjoyed RZ's Halloween movies. My only problem with them is the fact that they're called HALLOWEEN!!!! Oh and his nasty ass wife too.

Other than that they're ok films :D

I really liked Texas Chainsaw Massacre if its anything along those lines im sure ill like it. i guess will have to wait and see

i liked the Texas Chainsaw Massacre too, but as much as i dig Halloween, don't see how this planet needs a retelling by Bay...

You liked how Zombie turned Myers in Jason Voorhees?

Michael Myers was the shape of evil. Not some angry kid that was abused.

I agree....which is kinda rare for you and me on most days.:lol

Michale Bay? Hmnnn.....he's hit and miss. I liked the Texas Chanisaw Massacre re-make. I hated his Porno the 13th though. The only thing anyone seems to wanna talk about from that film is Julianna whatsername's boobs and hiney. :lol:lol

Best part of "Texas"...

I honestly don't know how to feel about this. I was hoping someone confirmed that it was an April Fools joke?? Please? Someone confirm that...

Well, no one forces you to watch movies you don't want to watch. :dunno

Well of course...but Halloween is my all time favorite. I just don't want to see it get watered down more and more. It's like rooting for a sports team that was once great but now always finishing last. You don't have to keep watching them lose but it still hurts inside even when you look away. :(

Parts 4 through whatever already watered it down. :lol

That is a very good point and that's why RZ's first one was a chance to start over with a clean slate but part 2 ruined it for me IMO. I think what bothers me most about this news is not that Bay will do it but that they may reboot it again. They already sort of semi rebooted it once with H20 by ignoring parts 4-6 (which in some cases was a good idea). Then again with RZ and now possibly again with Michael Bay. Ugh :slap

I liked all the Platinum Dunes horror remakes so far, and it would be pretty difficult to do worse than what Zombie put out, so whatever, I'll give it a shot. We're already at the bottom, we can only go up from here. :dunno

True...and as much as I would worry about it being bad, I won't be able to resist giving it a shot since it is my fav.

The monsters from Halloween, Nightmare on Elm St., Friday the 13th and a few other honorable mentions have become staples of the Horror genre much like Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, and mummies, zombies, etc. The stories will probably be told and re-told for these guys like those classic monsters. The oldies were re-tooled at a slower pace...but in this fast paced world where the Hulk can be re-booted in a mere 5 years...the horror icons will be following suite I suppose.

Toho has re-booted the Godzilla franchise for years, Keeps him in the public consciousness, lol.:lol

Yes another good point. I get the fact that these characters are our modern day Universal Monsters and I'm ok with different versions being told. I just want it to be good.
