Things could always change, but the last info I received (about a month ago) was that the piece will not have as many (possibly none at all) switch out items at the first one. What remains and what will not remain is unknown to me at this time.

I was actually looking for the original, but I have no interest in it now, knowing a variant is coming out. I actually don't care for the original and I'm only getting the variant because I'm a completist, with this line....at this point.

yea, we won't know until it hits with all specs and photos. I assumed the new one wouldn't have any of the original switch out parts, so I was gonna get both and display the original with the helm and sword, but now since Alex doesn't know for sure, I will be forced to wait cause if the variant has both the helm and sword, I have no need for the original, which will save me a lot of money....... Long sentence.
