hey can someone tell me what the 12" Robert Englund exclusive item was?? i cant find it on sideshow's site so maybe you guys can help me.

The exclusive is actually up for 2nd Chance - the item is the finger blade which was a precursor to his bladed glove.

The Englund sculpt on this figure is spot on, you won;t be dissappointed. If you're game, you should cut that stupid fringe on the sweater down a tad. It looks even better. Oh, and leave the hat off. It scratches at his forehead.

The only other Freddy at that scale is the FVJ Freddy figure.... which is pretty nice... and cheap. :D

I sent him a message yesterday asking to confirm if it was the exclusive and how much the shippig would be to the UK.

I had no reply but the shipping was added automaticaly and was $20. I'm also 99.9% sure it is the exclusive as you can see the one finger blade on him and the normal glove to the side. As well as him stating it's limited to 750

As for the New Nightmare Freddy - I've still not seen this film and don't really like the look.

But I'm tempted with the JvF Freddy! :chew

lol thats funny!!! im not a big fan of the new nightmare freddy either, but he's selling rather cheap so i might as well get him now to complete the collection. the freddy vs. jason version is pretty darn cool in my book. i like the demon look a lot and with the matching jason its a classic matchup!!!

Since the opportunity to gloat basically never arises for me - allow me to say I won the exclusive 12" Robert Englund in a Sideshow chat a year or two ago. :chew At the time I think it was the first thing I ever won. Anyway, it is a great figure to say the least. :)

yeah i was a little ticked, but oh well for $26 i wont complain. so far its the cheapest sideshow figure ive picked up yet and i really like him more than i thought i would. it really lookslike robert standing there.

One thing that may work is subbing hands from another caucasian SSC figure if Freddy's are too pale. I did this with my Brosnan GoldenEye figure. When I rolled up the sleeves to be film-accurate, those godawful tanned mitts of his were too much of a contrast, so I attached my unused hands from Luke Skywalker.

Hmmm...not quite what I was hoping for, but I'm sure I'll be able to work out some cool poses with it. Sometimes, it's the subtlest of changes that look best.

Either way, I'll likely find out today (tomorrow at the latest) when my Englund exclusive gets here from Razor's Edge.

this figure ROCKS!!!!

The sculpt is dead on for Robert Englund and exudes just the right amount of perverted demonic sleaze. The pleather jacket is well-tailored and fits well. The sweater is also very cool...although I did trim the excessive fringes. I love this figure.

Now, I find myself wanting to track down an FvJ Voorhees to go along with it. Amazing...11,000 regular edition, and I can't find a single one for retail price!!! Aaarrgghhh!!!!!!

It took me going through almost a dozen on-line retailers before I found an FvJ Voorhees regular edition for $45.00. Before that, it was either sold out or near $100. The teddy bear exclusive...yeah, that's extremely expensive!!

I too remember these figures being relatively easy to find about 8 months ago. Now, they seem to be very scarce for reasons I can't explain.

Fortunately, Echo Base Toys had four of them in stock, and my order's being processed.
