From the two very poor pics that we have seen thus far it's really hard to judge the figure.
And people criticize those who judge a figure after seeing hundreds of well-lit promo shots, but a couple of crappy pics are enough to jump on the Medi-is-crap bandwagon.
Medicom is certainly not at HT level (or current Sideshow level in many aspects), and their prices are absurd, but I really don't see any reason to treat this figure with such derision when we haven't even seen proper pictures.
FWIT, I think the sculpt looks quite good, as little as can be made out for now. As a matter of fact, it looks like a better likeness than HT's Indy... And the clothing and gear look pretty good as well.
I doubt I'll get any more Medicom figures, as Sideshow and HT seem to be heading in the direction of SW godhood, but I look forward to more and better pics of this figure.

the new medicom bodies are taller and amde of better plastic. I have the newest Naked2 Medicom body and it's as tall as HT body and has swappable leg extenders/shorteners. you can also use HT Hands and wrist pegs on the new bodies for what it's worth.

As for Ford likeness, I see him in there. there's something off about the eyes though.

Exactly. The hair especially is what's throwing it for me. The angry expression, although still very recognizeable as Ford, is just not Han.

i like the look of this figure but it's just fact that price is going to be outrageous. they should include the bespin jacket of they want this to really be an ESB and ROTJ Han. But man, medi really needs to get into making leather belts b/c these plastic ones are just not worth the price we're paying

The more i look at this Han the more i like it. I see a way better likeness of Ford in there than the HT Indy (Im still struggling with that), I could probably live with the evil eyes on this one, or maybe get a customiser to repaint the eyes.
I guess i could switch out the blaster with a sideshow version of the correct one. But the only thing thats bothering me which may be unfixable is his trenchcoat. The camo looks great, but it is waay too short (see pic above).

Have to disagree with you there, while neither is a home run. The Medicom figure looks like a teenage boy playing dress-up.

The Sideshow figure is sadly a bit of a mess right out of the box, but with some futzing can be made to look pretty decent. Go a bit further with a repaint and body swap and its got a lot of potential and would still cost less than the Medicom version.

The sideshow is the one on the right. Awful sculpt and a bobblehead. The one in the middle is medicoms new one and the left is medicoms old Luke Jedi which I painted rather hastily to give him a tan. Lol.

Sadly, Hasbro is the closest to proper scale as I have a Luke Saber in my collection made from the proper flashgun.
The diameter on the flashgun is 1.5".

You are correct sir. I had a Parks Luke Empire saber with EL blade made from an original flashbulb and it was beefy in my hands. I just like the thinner sabers for figures so it's easier to slide in and out of their hands.

Medicom/EB can't have a business model. They produce this stuff and throw it out double to triple the price of the competition and half the appeal. There is no price justification of this or the Luke for that matter. Art figures produce quality items for $100 bucks and sell out (their Punisher figures are quite outstanding and the price even adds to their appeal). Medi/EB will be long gone as a company and their items will still be rotting on store shelves. Sad really.

Hot Toys has also really done quite well with the DX Luke and at least you get two complete figures for your $300.

Even if we got a full ANH (Vest outfit w/blue pants, Both Blasters, Gloved hands, Falcon Headset), ESB (Full Hoth Gear, Bespin gear, gasmask), and ROTJ (Chains, Overcoat, Detonator charges) along with a body and HS it still wouldn't be worth it since the damn clothing wouldn't even fit on bodies other than the one it comes with... This whole line is just laughable.

Even if we got a full ANH (Vest outfit w/blue pants, Both Blasters, Gloved hands, Falcon Headset), ESB (Full Hoth Gear, Bespin gear, gasmask), and ROTJ (Chains, Overcoat, Detonator charges) along with a body and HS it still wouldn't be worth it since the damn clothing wouldn't even fit on bodies other than the one it comes with... This whole line is just laughable.

Yes a winner indeed. Since I would have paid $350.00 for the head. What a great deal. Pay $335.00 for the head and get all these accessories for free!

I honestly think the sculpt is quite good... It's just the totality of the whole thing, price, etc, that sucks.

Headsculpt still seems lacking, but it could be the bad flash photo. Interested in seeing more.

I dig the sculpt, except the paint, Harrison Ford has darker eyebrows.. Makes him look a bit freaky. Also do NOT like that the neck isnt sculpte ,who the hell prefers that anyway? Looks so toyish, and the neck isnt even the same color!

And very pricy. O_O
