Suprised there isn't already a thread for this.

David Milch also just mentioned while doing press for this last week, that he really wants to finish the Deadwood movies next.

Hopefully Luck will give him the pull he needs at HBO to get them done.

That would be awesome! Hopefully he can do it! :rock :rock :rock

So.. no one watches Luck? First episode was pretty good, looking forward to tonight's.

Yea, I'm watching it. Too many horses - I'm not sure what's going on. The trainer is hard to understand (which they keep joking about) and Nick Nolte's voice is like nails on a chalkboard. I know something nefarious is going on, but I'm not sure what.

It is very busy but thats typical for Milch. So far I like what I see, it just feels like it's still getting going.

I made it about 15 minutes (maybe only 10) into the pilot and turned it off... I'm sure it will have a lot of twists and turns, but it just didn't work for me :huh

Same here. I got about halfway through the pilot, just couldn't get into it.

I was waiting for the first season to wrap up before watching it on HBOGO. I guess I will skip this series since HBO pulled the plug today in the middle of filming season 2. Apparently there have been 3 horse deaths in the last year. Man, Miltch's track record isn't too good. Maybe HBO will reward him with a 4 season of Deadwood?? or at least fast track the Deadwood movies??? Doubtful :(

I watched the pilot a few weeks ago and i turned it off after about 5 minutes, it gave me a migraine.

Wow, nobody liked this show??
I did.
I was reading THR about the lawsuit between Barbara Casey and HBO

and learned that the writer John Perrata has continued the story via a blog.
Note from author John Perrotta: The following blog is the writer’s depiction of an imagined racetrack-based story, an ongoing saga, which includes some of the characters depicted in the ill-fated “Luck” series.

I thought the show was good and had potential. I'm sad that the 3 horses died, but if racing footage was used instead of the live horses, the show would still be on the air. :lecture
