Advice needed for head removal/ replacement

Hi guys, can anyone tell me where I can find a 'head removal' and 'head replacement' basic guide, or alternatively give me some advice? I'm looking to remove the head from a cheap 12" UK Action Man figure and replace it with a custom head sculpted from Fimo. It would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Well AirBond... I learned my tricks from this site ( a wonderful bit of info provided by the honorable Customikey) And it works wonders IMO...

Just get some water to a boil, take it off of the range and dip the head in for a couple of minutes and voila! The head should be so soft you can just pop it off with ease...
