Lots of layers of black and brown acrylic paint, watered down at different consistencies and brushed on lightly. I kept a close eye on a film clip that I wanted to recreate the mask from, and tried to darken the mask in the proper areas.
He looks a lot more accurate now IMO... and it was fun as Hell to paint... :cool:

Good luck!! And surprisingly enough... I didn't have to use my old trusty exacto.. All of those scratches are in the sculpt... just hardly visible. WHen you throw that first coat of paint on, you'll be amazed to see how much more detail comes out. :D
I can't wait to see what you do with it!!
