I am looking to find some kind of pressure chamber that will take the bubbles out of a resin cast? I have no starting point, so if someone can kindly point me in the right direction, I can go from there.

I have heard I need a vacuum chamber with a gauge on it? No idea where to begin.

Thanks a lot.

I think your best bet is to go with a pressure chamber setup instead of a vacuum chamber.

Here's the basic stuff you would need for a pressure setup:
Air compressor, pressure tank, air hose, fittings, pressure gauge etc..

I'm currently building my own pressure tank setup so I'll be glad to point you in the right direction when it comes to parts and how to assemble one.

Thanks a lot Nek! I am looking more towards a prefabbed one. The person interested is a silly goose and doesn't want to make it. What are some good brands? I'm looking in the $200+ dollar range.

Thanks a lot Anthony!

Both vacuum chambers and pressure tanks are pretty expensive, I unfortunately don't think you could find a full setup for under 350-500$. :monkey2

@Dark Passenger... just wondering what you are casting to feel you need a pressure chamber? I'm just an amature, but I've cast quite a few things is my time and have never needed to vaccum the resin.

Thanks a lot guys. It isn't for me, it is for a sculptor who is casting around 30 heads at a time.

If you want to pressure cast the easiest solution is buy a spray pot, use it on it's side, with an air compressor, hold at 50 kpa until cured.

No reason you couldn't use this set up for degassing as well, but you probably would want a vacuum gauge (1000mbar) attachment on it. You would also need a 4cfm vacuum Pump to create a vacuum.

Thanks a lot for those links. The pressure spray gun would just need an air compressor then? What one would you recommend?
