Sideshow please do not "sex up" Slave Leia

This probably applies to when creating the assumed Premium Format figure as I'm sure the 1/6 will by nature be more neutral. I'm sure there are many that will want the figure to be as "sexy" as possible but please keep in mind that even among hardcore collectors there are those of us with wives and kids who don't want figures designed solely for, well, you know the type.

Koto's Leia with her "come hither" pose is just an embarrassment to what Leia represented in the films. That was a sculpt better suited to those Dead or Alive video game characters than Star Wars.

Most people just automatically find the character and outfit sexy without anything "extra" added to figurine likenesses.

Hasbro oversexed the Unleashed Padme, and it appears that Koto is taking the same approach with Leia.

I hope Sideshow keeps it classy.

I tend to agree. Leia was forced into that getup, and was trapped in what must have been a horrific and disgusting situation, all things considered. I doubt that she felt very sexy in that outfit, being licked by Jabba's disgusting slobbery tongue. We may think of her as sexy, but in context it wouldn't be appropriate for her to have anything resembling a seductive mood about her.

But I think the Koto image is taken directly from a pose she had in the film. I'd expect SSC will do something similar.

A pose from the film would be all well and good, but I don't recall ever seeing Koto's pose in the movie. I forgot to add the upcoming Gentle Giant animated-style maquette to the list of Leia sculpts that seem to be going out of their way for extra "va va voom" if you know what I'm saying.

I think it would just be cool if Sideshow said, you know what, we're not selling our figures that way. We're going to do it classy and sell them based on having the best flipping sculpt on the market.

*shrugs* That's my hope anyway.

EDIT: The pose in the two previous pics posted would be PERFECT. Simple and iconic.

I think that the animated maquettes are meant to be stylized, so that would be a fine opportunity for a "va va va voom" Slave Leia. The PFs are meant to capture iconic images or moments from the film, which is why the previous picture would be great for a PF. (Of course, if the Gentle Giant animated Slave Leia maquette is "presenting," then my wife won't let me get it, so they had better keep it at least PG-13...)

I think something like this would be pretty cool...

Yeah King... I have to agree with you there... when I think of Slave Leia.. this is how I imagine her... Well... that and the aplit second Luke grabbed her and was about to swing from the Barge. But I doubt we will get the two of them together..

I know SSC will do us proud and release something which is both classy and iconic.

I think Sideshow should still work on making their female figures more womanly with better curves and more natural looking breasts that flow downward a bit and not like two halves of cantelope.

I don't think I even want a Slave Leia, I have a wife! I would only get it if I knew for sure Jabba was a possibility, which I can't imagine in the 1/4 scale.

Seriously, I much prefer her in the ANH get up (ship her already! ).

Yes, ESB Hoth Leia would be my favorite.

My wife was excited when she found the Unleashed version for me. Then again, she's always excited when she finds something I'm looking for.

i don't know if SS can do anything about not to "sex" up Leia. I mean, if that is the outfit she wore for the film that will be the outfit SS will have to put her on. If you mean not to pose her in a sexual way, then I totally agree with you on that. Then again, all the poses she did in the film were pretty resque. This will be tricky. :emperor
