Hi all from New Jersey! 
After a 10+ year hiatus from collecting comic books & toys (Transformers & GI Joe's) I made the mistake of walking into a prominent shop in New York about a month ago. Needless to say, I walked out with about half a dozen trade paperbacks and a revitalized interest in comic book characters - namely Dr. Doom, Captain America and Spawn.
Since then I've been frequenting 3 local comic book shops in New Jersey and 2 of them have large statue collections, which drew my interest immediately. Only 1 shop had a Dr. Doom statue, but it was a bust and those aren't my cup of tea so when I got home I started online searching for some other Dr. Doom statues and Viola! I found my way here to this incredibly useful site and very surprisingly friendly community.
At 35 yrs old I can't believe I'm taking on this addiction/hobby but it looks like I'm not alone so it's nice to know I have company
