Hi everyone, im new here and thought you maybe would likle to see some of the pieces i make....lmk what you think....most are based on existing hasbro figures but now with the new sideshow figures im looking forward to more human based figures,i have the SSc Luke already in progress, all the vaders have full internal reveal details, hand made from metal, voice functions, good articulation, lit chest/ belt boxes, and lit sabers, origianlly based on high power leds, now working on EL ones, the Darth maul is the first to have fully cordless EL lit saber, no wires at all, just place the saber in his had and voila'.The clone uses modified hasbro armor on a bbi 3.5 body, with a cast of my own sculpted ep3 clone helmet.http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d93/hurricane1002/DSCF0059.jpg

Luke Snowspeeder pilot....
SSC recast Luke head, hand made jacket, boots, belt, flakvest, hasbro reworked helmet, scratch made chin strap/cup,scratch made goggles, bendy hands.
Cordless, EL lit saber, powersource is in his chest.I have made an 'arming cap' for him but still tweaking it, originally had a Ponda Baba hasbro jacket, but after the first fell to bits (orange flaked off) a second was made and same happened, went for a hand made item.

hi, a while ago i was commisioned to make a screen accurate ESB fett for Wor-Gar, loved making him and WG was pleased. This is a new Fett,ROTJ version, marmit jump suit /flak vest etc, corrected gaunlets with brass etched details, steel spikes in boots, machined alloy knee dart nozzles, corrected belt, hand made hip pouches, the right one contains a pressure switch for the voice function (electronic BF gutts fitted inside BBI G3.5 body, repainted armor/knees armor etc, corrected/repainted jetpack, with working 'beacon' light.Chest Led display lights up.Recasted jango Fett head, scarred up etc,to resemble how i think fett looks with influence from WGs' original concept look.OTC Fett helmet hollowed out and with tinted 'T' visor fitted, photos from the 'Myth and Magic' exhibition were used as reference.http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d93/hurricane1002/79f98dca.jpg

How did you chrome your lightsaber hilts? Did you completely spray the piece with chrome and then prime the areas you wanted to paint over with acrylic? I have been wanting to chrome mine and I was told that mirrored chrome is impossible to achieve in acrylics and must be airbrushed or sprayed on.

Damn dude! You are a Magician of the highest order!
That is one wicked helmet!
In fact, if you just made a little row of a bunch of the different Clone Trooper helms, on a sort of display base with posts for them to rest on, like the LOTR helms, I would get the set!

I think one day, I will get one of your figures. One. I can't afford as many as I'd like....ok, maybe two, I do want one of your lightup Vaders....but, your Commander Cody is a must. I must get one. Somehow.
He is all I really want for my entire collection. I have almost all the 1/6 Star Wars figures I want. Really.
But that is the one that eludes my abilities to solve, what with time and information and just outright love for Star Wars customs.
So, one day...one day... Look for an email one day....:D

But this Bacara is too awesome!
Just had to say all that.

Hi Hurricane , I've seen your work on various forums over the past year or so and I must say it's truly inspirational ! ( Literally so ,as I've recently started work on my own Commander Bly figure ). I know that you have recently offered a Clone Trooper building service but I wondered whether you are considering selling the helmets , armour parts etc as kits ?

unfortunelty true, to convert a sideshow figure to having a in body powered cordless saber.....takes
1 cathode tube
1 custom made invertor
new body
wiring
switches etc etc......

no problem, the feet are the hasbro ones, all the shin area is leather with plastic card wrapped round for the straps, then just painted.

Chewie and 3po, i must stress i didnt fur up this chewie originally that was done by Mark Magienello of the US, I had one done, then reworked it adding height alot more articulation, reworked the fur, reshaped the head, 3po started life as a genuine kaiyodo model kit, chopped up, detailed, lit eyes, and voice function fitted, first pic shows chewie before his rework.http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d93/hurricane1002/DSCF0041-2.jpg

Tusken progress, new inner robes, yet to be weathered, and two bandoliers, hand made from faux leather, 1903 Enfield ammunition bandolier and a British Victorian Cavalry .303cal Bandoleer, which is similar if not the same as the screen used (ANH) Martini Henry bandoleer, these too are yet to be weathered and stained......

some glueing, mostly folded tho, patterns were made for the pouches then they folded up and were glued in place the buttons are dress makers pins pushed thru, tonight should see the outer robe added, im going for the ANH look where the tuskens had outer robes, EP1 tuskens didnt have these, i may mix the two styles tho by adding a neck scarf, and the respirator seen indepedently but not together

A bit more done, outer robes are the hasblow originals as the materials spot on, i wanted a definite diference 'tween inner and outer robes, the midrift pouches are WRONG at this point, i had no idea wht they were so made some by hand from screen stills, but now i know what they are and will remake them accurately. At this point there is NO weathering done, nor water treatment so excuse the puffyness, the tuskens nose is steel, a domed head screw dremeled to suit.

Id guess removing the greasy stuff on him would be first, go careful tho:o
as for sanding a trooper up, always seemed odd to me the screen used sandies had big blobs of muck on them, i mean, glossy armor+sand (or even worse stuff) surely itd dry out and fall off?????maybe youd get some scratches etc with dirt ground into it, or even sand/dust collecting on seams etc....but big splashes of dewback poo?
