I'm reserving judgment til I see Ani. It's my opinion that everyone should do the same. I personally think that some of the pics posted of the Ani paint job are photoshopped to make it look bad, just to push people's buttons and get s*** started. But that's my opinion, and I certainly haven't seen EVERY pic posted of an actual Anakin that someone might have in hand.

If he looks good, great. I think Amy said they'll start to ship tonight so some will receive theirs as early as tomorrow (local L.A. area; arrive at Bell sorting facility tonight, on the fedex truck tomorrow). Because I requested mine be shipped inside an outer shipping box (to insure against corner crush) she told me It'll take a couple of extra days to pack so mine will ship Friday and I'll get him Sat am.

I ordered Anakin in the first twenty minutes, and we have now had two days of shipments go out, and nothing for me yet... I also ordered Grievous right away and have not received an e-mail for him either. I am just cursed when it comes to Star Wars stuff...

thanks pjam! I still have a little bit of wierd sensitivity sometimes around the scar...(right side of neck), and I still can't raise both eyebrows... kind of a permanent "Rock" eyebrow when I try to raise them.. :lol

But at least the tumor is gone and I don't have to worry about it anymore. I've had enough of cancer already....sad to say at 25... Just glad it wasn't serious.

But at least the tumor is gone and I don't have to worry about it anymore. I've had enough of cancer already....sad to say at 25... Just glad it wasn't serious.

That can actually be cool. One of my friends and I speculated about how Boba Fett might appear in the prequels long before TPM or even the SE's came out.

We thought that if Boba's face was shown (we thought that he was old enough in ESB to have still been an adult in the prequels) that it would be really cool if he had a nasty scar across the front of his neck. As if someone had tried to kill him by slitting his throat--and failed.

Glad your doing well DarkArtist81. I too have been battling medical problems for the last couple years. In 04, I was diagnosed with having a large hole in between the upper chambers of my heart. It was something I was born with and it was never caught until then. Since it went undiagnosed all my life, it caused me to have pulmonary hypertension-PH- (which causes your blood vessels in your lungs to close up and not produce enough oxygen for your body and it also causes very high pressures in your lungs). There is no cure for my lung disease. I was told by doctors at Barnes in St.Louis that I'd have to have a heart/double lung transplant to live because the lung disease is also fatal. Needless to say at 22, my life came crashing down.

They put me on some medications for the PH and oxygen 24/7 (that one really sucked) and eventually, my lung pressures went down low enough for them to consider doing surgery (which they said could never happen) to close the hole in the heart. Alot of risks were involved, but my wife and I decided to take them because I wanted to try to avoid tranplantation at all costs. In July 05, I had open heart surgery and had the hole closed. Since then my lung pressures have gone down quite a bit and transplantation has been put off completely. I have been taken off of the oxygen and am on a medication that is infused into the body by a small pump for the PH. The doctors at Barnes told me that I should now be able to live a long health life and that they would be able to take what they learned from my case and use it to help others.

I would be lying if I said that there are days that go by that I don't get angry about the whole situation, but I also have to say that I feel Blessed to have gone through this. I truely believe, now more than ever, that GOD won't put us through anything we can't handle...

That is truly awesome that you made it through ok.....stories like these are giveing me much hope right now....often times emotional strength is hardest to come by, but you and DA(J2 as I may now refer to him) have shown that anything is possible....

We were told by the doctors that my son had a 10% chance of survival as the due date approached. In addition to several other complications, he was not getting enough oxygen to grow and would likely not survive the delivery process if he made it that far at all. Amongst the problems was the fact that they couldn't take him out via emergency c-section because his lungs weren't developing and if he was delivered he wouldn't be able to breathe, so they decided to wait as long as they could before the fetus gave up the struggle of trying to get oxygen. We got to the point where my wife was stuck in a hospital bed hooked up to monitors 24/7, and whenever the baby's heartbeat would stop, she had to press this little button to alert the nurse, and if it didn't start up again they would do an emergency c-section on the spot. After several weeks of that, the vital stats finally dropped and didn't recover so they went in and got him. He only weighed 3 pounds and they took him immediately to the newborn intensive care unit. (My wife didn't even get to see him first.) He was in intensive care in a little climate controlled box for about a month with all sorts of needles and tubes going into him. But day by day, he began to recover and grow. While that whole experience left me feeling pretty helpless, it also gave an appreciation for how fragile and precious life is. The day we finally got to take him home from the hospital was one of the happiest of my life. Today, he is doing well. (You can catch him in my avatar wearing the google eyes that fell off his Elmo slippers.) All of the worst case scenarios that the doctors gave us didn't happen. So King, just remember that there are others out there who have made it through tough times physically and come out OK, and have faith that your dad will be among that crowd eventually!

Great stuff of human triumph, guys. My Dad was an Internist at the Scarsdale Medical Group in NY so everyday was another day living vicariously through his patients when I was a kid growing up in Rye, NY.

What's most stunning to me, and he has told me as much, is many of these stories we hear today would not have had a positive outcome back then if it weren't for the amazing advances in Medical Science over the last decade or so --so much so that it saved his own life over the past year as cancer reared its ugly head.

As for Grievous: no pre-authorization, no shipping soon status--both of which usually happen days before shipping. Got my order in for the BOROMIR 12" Exclusive, Got my FED-EX notice for my Anakin's, AND finally got my APONE head from Mikey! (cost me an extra $10 in duty fees to get across the border...oh well...) Man it looks GREAT!!! Awesome job Mikey!!! I'll try to get some pics posted as soon as I get the head on my figure (and borrow a digital camera since mine's on the fritz!)

I called Sideshow because I remember some others having a similar problem with Luke and Sideshow just shipped them another box. I really wish they would package them in a bigger box so that they wouldn't get crushed in shipping.

The box for the most part is mint, except for a tiny crease on top of the accessories flap on the top of the box.. this would have been done before it was shipped.. so what can you do.

My exclusive Jedi Luke was left in the rain on the porch when it was delivered. Sideshow eventually sent me out a replacement flat box which was appreciated.. except there was a giant crease down the side of the box where the figure was shown.. but at least they tried!

Just received a call back from Sideshow. They are going to send me out another box in a week or so for Anakin. She also said that she would make a note on my account that I'm a MIB collector and that my future figures would be sent out in a larger box. She said that the boxes that they are mailed in are the boxes they receive from where they are produced. She said that that box would be placed in a larger one and sent out. I really appreciate the customer support we recieve from Sideshow!!! They truely care about the customer and go out of their way to make you happy. Thanks again Amy for everything:D :chew

If you prefer, we can double box all of your 12 inch figures, however we would require an additional fee to cover the extra shipping materials.

Id be all for this, but why do I get the "exclusive" extra fee with my purchase and Jonz doesnt? The person I talked with is Robin..

Not sure. I know that she never said anything about it costing extra, but even if it does, I'd never know since my shipping was more than what they had posted on the web site anyway. It was 1.88 more I believe for Anakin. I was told that the shipping that was posted on the site was only an estimation. If I am charged for the other box to ship the figure in, thats fine with me. I just want the packaging to show up as mint as possible:D

You may very well have a chance, particularly with the regular Anakin. Don't give up or hit eBay just yet--he is still in the middle of the shipping process and they don't really know how many will be left over yet. Good luck!!!

Don't give up!! I got my waitlist converted last week. I am sure there will be plenty more cancellations, so I'd wait at least another 2 weeks before looking on evilbay.

Still no shipping notice for me on the Anakin exclusive. It seems like Sideshow is taking their time on this one. I thought for sure I would have gotten something this week.

Well I recieved my shipping notice for Exclusive Anakin yesterday with an ETA of Monday June 5th.

Has anyone else in Canada received their notice or actual figure yet?

i would give up on luke, ive been on a waitlist for him forever. im still on the waitlist but ordered him from another vendor and already received him. anakin you might want to wait for because he's still shipping. if you havent heard anything in a couple weeks i would check around the vendors to see if anyone has one left before i go to ebay.
