Been awfully quiet on the PF Leia front....

Is anybody else excited about the first female Star Wars PF? Or has Grievous stolen the spotlight?

Last I checked, she is still scheduled for a May release, yet we are a third of the way through May and still no 30 day notice in the newsletter. Wonder when she'll be coming? June's going to be pretty crowded, so I had hoped she wouldn't get pushed back into that month's paycheck--but that seems inevitable at this point, with no updates or notices. :confused:

I'm looking forward to Leia. I'm still exited about my Grievous wait-list conversion and I hope the same happens with her. I really want the Stormtrooper blaster.

One PF at a time tom. ;) To be honest, I'm equally excited about the next two PF statue's coming. Right now, my focus is on the 1:1 Maul bust though. :maul

Leia is probably my most wanted (although I really want the other version I'm sure they're working on). It's probably those darned eyelashes that are holding her up -- yeah, that's it!:monkey2

I've been wondering the same thing I've got an excess of money, Sideshow needs to get this out soon. I didn't order Grievious, so I'm real excited for the princess.

My wait list for the exclusive got converted in January, so I am thrilled to be getting this one. With this PF, I'll have 6/6 Exclusive SW PF. Unlike others, I wouldn't mind this figure getting delayed until the end of June...my credit card could use the break. :monkey2

Of course, this shouldn't deter Sideshow from announcing another PF...come on Chewie :chew :chew :chew

After seeing the photo posted above, I was wondering; is anyone now disappointed with Sideshow's decision to use an enviromental type base for the Luke piece? Would you have prefered a plain black base like all the other PF's that followed Luke?

Oh, and by the way...I'm anxiously awaiting the PF Leia!

The enviromental base is about the only thing I like about the Luke, besides the pose of course. I had to cancel my PF Leia :monkey2 . I'm just getting hit too hard right now and my car needs some work done. Not to mention space is quickly becoming an issue.

I was changing things around last night to make some space. I am pretty anal about how stuff is displayed. I like it all one a shelf looking nice and not just "sitting" somewhere and all cluttered looking.

I am still not 100% happy and need to figure out some more shelf options. I will post some pics once a few more things are settled over on the show your shelves forum.

Was never really interested in getting this PF piece. I might get a Slave Leia if they do that but Leia just isn't one of my faves.

As for Luke, as much as I love that the Sideshow piece resembles a classic scene from ANH, I do wish he had a normal base and was standing straight. it would just look better when displayed with the other PF pieces.

I still love Luke though, I think he looks really good (assuming you get a good paint job)

Bring on Leia! I hope that R2 and C3PO are after Fett.

I wish Sideshow had a different type of base with every exclusive. Luke and Han excl. just look out of place.

I agree that Luke's base throws off the continuity of having the three figures (Luke, Leia & Han) displayed together. I have both the regular and the exclusive Luke and plan to display them as bookends.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all the other statues are made with the regular black base.

Can't wait to get Leia. Han's pretty lonely.

The Luke base does not really bother me. I would have liked it if it were plain black like the others, but I am ok with it as is and it does not keep me from displaying him with the other PF figures.

I'm not getting Grievous :( so he's not stealing Leia's spotlight for me. I've got this lovely little empty spot between Luke and Han just waiting for her. As for Luke's base...having him in that pose on the dune is what got me started on the Star Wars PF figures, had he come standing straight up in some pose or other like Han and Leia I doubt I would have gotten him. I do wish it was a little different now to make him display better with them, but its not enough of a problem that I dislike it. Worst comes to worst I'll just have to buy another Luke figure (if they make one) with a plain black base and him standing straight up to display with Han and Leia and then have this one somewhere else. With the base and pose it makes a wonderful piece to be just by itself.

Same here, Leia is a classic OT Character and having her displayed with the Exclusive blaster trumps any Prequel character IMO. I think the Exclusive Edition size of only 1000 will eventually make her more collectible as well.

As for SSC, it seems they're releasing way too many items (spread out over a 2 qtr pre-order period) at the same time, June-July, which is a total bummer on the wallet. Wish they would stick to the original release dates, whatever that is these days.

I have the Exclusive Han, who does have an environmental base, and looks fine alongside Luke.

I am excited about Leia, but am passing on the exclusive - the gun just isn't worth it to me.

I do want to complete my ANH display however, so we need :chew and :r2d2line and the "mindless philosopher" and of course :stormtroo

Oh and as far as Luke is concerned, the PF captures what is probably my favorite moment from the OT - so I wouldn't change a thing.

I like the environment base on Luke. It's just that all the others have been from spaceships. Han's base is the Falcon (like the exercise droid) and Vader's and Obi-wan's is the Death Star. Grievous is the place he died. Leia's should be the blockade runner. I'm hoping there are more environment style bases so Luke won't look as out of place.

We'll be getting our notice very soon now and judging from the TF pics of Leia (without her eyelashes) this could be a stunner. As for the exclusive blaster, are you kidding me? That is the weapon Carrie Fisher posed with to help launch this franchise, it is a most definite Winner IMO.

Hopefully we get word soon. Didn't they do the same thing with the 12" Anakin? It was pushed back to June officially, and then a week later people started getting their 20-25 day notices.

SS needs to make a Tattooine PF of OBi or another character to go along with LUke. That should make people happy (me especially).

Wow...I had a nice rambling post typed up and I clicked the wrong button and part of it disappeared, so I hit what I thought was the redo button on the toolbar and it all disappeared. :monkey2

Oh well it was too long and needed to be shortened anyways. In a nutshell. I agree with CF neither Luke really fits with Han or Leia, but at the same time it doesn't not fit. Which aside from being grammatically incorrect probably is unclear. What I mean is if you had a poster of each character in the poses they are in, they posters wouldn't look as if they were meant to be all put together as if its one huge poster. But the three posters don't look bad next to each other either. I think it will be interesting to see how everyone displays this extra Luke. Will one or both be displayed alone, or will we have a hero sandwich of Luke Han Leia Luke. :google
