Does anyone here currently own the "bust-up" style Kotobukiya Robocop one-coin series figures? My local comic shop has ordered them for me, but I'm curious to know what I'm in for. Do they have any kind of articulation? How tall is the MK-2 and ED-209?

Basically, what are your thoughts about these figures...especially 209?

Thanks to anyone who can help me out!! :)

Hey Sith Lord 0498, I actually have these and they're REALLY cool! They're all EXTREMELY well detailed for their size. ED-209 stands about 4" tall and swivels at the neck, each leg and each gun barrel. MK-2 (CAIN) stands about 4.5" tall and has 2 sets of swivelling arms/welding torch/claw things. I highly recommend. They're quite cool!

Awesome!!! You don't happen to have pics of different poses, do you?? (crossing fingers)

That's good news. I'll pass on the Hot Toys ED-209 then. If I'm going to be getting a semi-articulated, extremely detailed version for only $10.00, I think I can live without spending an extra $165...

What about the Robocop figures? Are they about 2 inches tall (what are they in comparison to a Hasbro SW figure??) How detailed are they? Does the jetpack Robocop come with the stand shown in Toy Fair pics?

Thanks a lot for the info so far!!! :chew

The Robocop figures are approx. 4" tall, so around the scale of the Hasbro 3.75" SW figures. They are also VERY detailed. Robocop comes in a silver/blue tint (like Robocop 2 version) and has swivel head, arms and legs and feet (sadly no motion in the elbows, wrists or knees...but still COOL!) Robocop 3 comes with removable jetpack, stand and has that arm blaster on. it has the same motion as the other Robocop and is in more of a silver/grey tint (like Robocop 1 and 3). The half (destroyed) ED-209 figure is in scale with the other ED-209 and comes with a 2" Robocop!!!

I wouldn't pass on the HT ED-209 if I were you...expensive, yes, but 15" tall...that's MASSIVE! I can't wait for it!!!

As for photos, I don't have any photos of my set, but there are some AMAZING photos on the Robocop Archive boards...over 12 pages of photos and threads! Enjoy!!!

Thank you so much!!! You covered all of my questions, and the link I'll be checking out shortly.

As for the HT ED-209, it's a money issue. My wife and I make enough for a comfortable living, but not so much that I can easily drop $200 on a whim. Plus, I have five more Sideshow 12 inch SW figures on pre-order, so that's eating up a lot of my collecting dollars.

Again, thank you very much!! :)

Glad I could help out...and I totally undertsand what you're saying about cost being a factor in getting the ED. I too have all the SW 12" on pre-order, as well as the LOTR 12", personally though, I just can't pass this up. I've wanted a high-quality ED replica ever since I first saw Robocop 19 years ago. I may have to sacrifice a few other major purchases to get it though...

Hope you enjoyed the images at Robocop Archive. Cheers!

I did enjoy the images at the Robo Archive!! Not only did I get a better idea of what my Koto Robocop figs will look like, but now I'm definitely going to be ordering the Hot Toys' Robocop 12 inch figure. That thing is incredible!!!

Man, I know! It would be WAY TOO hard to pass up getting the HT Robo or ED! They are definite MUST HAVE's for me! Glad you enjoyed the link...sorry if it 'convinced' you to purchase figure(s) that you may have been on the fence about...
