Koto puts out some nice stuff...

BUT this Luke isn't 1 of them.

come on you have to give Koto some credit... they do make some nice stuff. the only problem is they are usually only the characters that are aliens or masked. the actual "face" characters are hit or miss.

the darth maul, mace/ yoda, boba fett are outsanding in quality, but when it comes to say-- luke in the stormtrooper he looks good, but he's not mark hamill. the darth vader/ anakin they came out with last year is by far the worst likeness they have ever produced.

What I want to know is did Anakin have sex with a farm animal to create this thing? I mean it looks like his face is mixed between human and a animal you eat on a BLT.:rotfl

My wife honestly didn't know who that was supposed to be. It didn't register as Star Wars (or as anything else). She was just clueless until I told her that it was Luke from ESB.

She said: "No, it's not."

My wife honestly didn't know who that was supposed to be. It didn't register as Star Wars (or as anything else). She was just clueless until I told her that it was Luke from ESB.

She said: "No, it's not."

I know this thing is awful. This is IMO is far more off than the Frodo PF, Aragorn @ The Black Gates, etc. from any of the LOTR lines.

I like the pose, and everything below the neck. Koto just can't do a human face likeness. I have several Kotos and like them alot...oh well, no Koto Luke for me.

Yeah, the pose and body don't bother me or look all that bad but that face. YEEESSH!

I'm unfamiliar with these Kotobukiya SW statues. It says model kit. Does that mean it comes unassembled and unpainted? Just curious.

Agree on the Leia. She's looking fine.

They come painted and there is minimal assembly. They're not really statues, but they're not really model kits either.

Kotos aren't bad as far as the clones, storm/sandtroopers, Maul, Vader, Fetts but their humans are pretty lacking.

While the likeness is way off, I think the Bespin Luke is kind of cool. However looking at the price I'd never buy one. I'll stick to 12-inch Star Wars thank you.

I've got the koto c3po/r2d2 on pre-order, but have yet to see a painted pic of them! just seen the grey prototype pic (which took ages to find!)

I'm not really keen on luke, but am thinking about the slave leia, but am waiting on some decent pics.

I love the koto's that I have, and think they are a pretty good likeness, but agree that the human features are a bit off. My Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Scout trooper and clone trooper are all fantastic, and I can't wait to get 3po /r2

I also have seen the proto pic of C3PO and R2 and I cannot wait to preorder them. I think the Leia looks interesting as well.
