I found this link today and was amused.
Just think what Sideshow would do?

I really hope not. It's cute for Hasbro but a waste for SS.

A George Lucas 12" figure at this point would be a bad move, I wouldn't buy it. Maybe it would be better once they've done every character and they could close the series, but not in the forseeable future.

I hate hasbro;
that's what makes SS different. I love SS and I am sure they will not make a n unnecessary figure such as George Lucas.
Anyway who would pay money to it, when there are so cool stuff out there to buy ?

In the far, far future I say sure, why not? they can even do a flanel shirt exclusive. :rolleyes:

I think it would be appropriate for one of the generic military types. Probably not a stormtrooper, but a rebel of some kind. I don't see the troopers as being bearded.

Would he be skinny 1970's George or hefty present day George?

Sideshow has done this before with Peter Jackson as Corsair for the Lord of the Rings collectibles and I think its a great addition, although I don't agree with the whole Lucas as a Stormtrooper. If they do make a George Lucas 12" figure it should be Baron Papanoida. Its an actual character in ROTS, would make a cool figure itself and sneak the creator into the line without being as blantant as the "George Lucas in Stormtrooper"

Reminds me of that Conan O'Brien clip with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog doing the Phantom Menace line interviews. When the fan took off his trooper helmet he had this Colonel Sanders thing going on. :lol

Ah, that bit is a classic.
Triumph to a Darth Vader impersonator: "Which one of these buttons calls your parents to come pick you up?" :rotfl

Actually Hot Toys beat everyone to the punch with the release of 12-inch "The Director" last October:http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_100705b.htm

I don't see a problem with it.

True, I'm all for Pamperedanoya - and make it next year's SDCC exclusive. Then we'll see who's poo-pooing a Georgie figure...

That figure's been out longer than that. I've had it for a few years. It does make a nice counter piece to my other "hidden" character in my photostory.
