Is the SS Venom bust based on new Spidey movie?

Is the Sideshow Venom bust based on how the character
will be looking in the new Spiderman movie, or was it just
based on the character in general from comic books? :confused:

It states that it was "Inspired by Venom's more monstrous comic
book appearance" but it seems like the timing of release would
indicate that perhaps Sideshow worked with the film makers to
get the likeness to match the upcoming film incarnation?

I don't know the movie version of Venom but this is so much look like jumped from the comic book pages. I like it so much, although I still didn't order. If I will get a bonus in the next two months, I will be ordering though.

Even though SSC's Marvel PFs have mainly been from recent Marvel films, the look has been strictly from the comics. Which is lucky for them since Elektra and Punisher bombed so badly. I doubt any art from the movie Venom had even been created when this bust was designed.

From what I've heard the Venom in the film will be a unique take on the classic comic book character. If the Black preview suit is any indication form their teaser site, the Venom costume might resemble more of that black Spidey suit....

Yeah... that Green Goblin was something alright. This Venom looks a lot like the comic book version and I highly doubt they'll have this version in the movie.

I planned to but: 1st it is expensive and 2nd it is not as impressive as Darth Maul.
Actually it is, kinda ugly as well. What do you think?
