The statue is just under 16 inches I think(bottom of boot to top of head)...taller if you count flames. . Definitly not 1/3 scale, probably a hair under 1/4 scale?

Beautiful work, Ray. I don't collect Marvel, but being a Ghost Rider fan since the 80's and seeing this piece might change my mind.

Excellent work Ray, the best rendition of the character ever seen!

I'm curious to see the finished piece, the flames do look translucent which will take the piece to a whole new level I think.

Looks similar to the Sauron's Mace weapons set, which did not light up but was somewhat clear-ish so that light could pass through and give it a "glowing" effect. If this is the same idea, it looks like it could be more successful than even the mace.

I have the black Chrome GR.. Looks like it has similar flames.. With lighting behind it light passes through and it lights up..

P.S. Isnt Saurons mace just reflective red paint?.. I wasnt aware it was translucent?..:confused:

There are no electronics in this maquette, but the light does reflect through the flames, making them appear as if they're glowing. I especially love the effect through the eye sockets!! :monkey5

It does look phenomenal, especially the flames. I'm going to have to get this one for sure. I've always loved GR and this one is by far the best I've seen to date. With some lighting tricks, he can be even better! I've tested this theory already with the Unleashed Anakin/Obi Mustafar set... and they looked magnificent with the lava glowing.

Can't wait for the pre-order!! Great work Ray!

I used to be a HUGE Ghost Rider fan. But, I can't stand Nicolas Cage.

As much as this one looks incredible, I will probably pass on it.

I think it is the best Ghost Rider piece I have ever seen thou, for sure.

I've got this baby on order and I could not be happier. For the size and craftmanship, the price is really sweet...

Can't wait until it comes out so I can devise some sick lighting to really show him off!! :D

That's the thing...you gotta display him properly or it won't look anything like in the pics. You would need to get a light up base or project light from a bottom shelf in your display stand.

I agree that if I were to order him he would probably just get cancelled as there is TONS of stuff coming later that I got pending.

Same here...although most people that go for this piece probably don't care much for the character either and go mainly for the great sculpt.

I passed on Iron Man as well. I guess I'm an X-O Manowar type of guy. :rolleyes:

Looks very good. I loved Ghost Rider in the '90s (Danny Ketch). Johnny Blaze was a little before my time (original Ghost Rider). But, he did make quite a few appearances in the '90s (while I was collecting comics).

But, I won't order this...I can't afford to buy everything anymore....I did that during the SS/Weta LOTR hey-days.

Now, I am just sticking to select 12" pieces that I really like.
