Ardeth Bey # 12 has come home.
Sideshow, this series MUST continue!
Has to be considered one of the best pieces in the collection.

Cursey does your eyes for Ardeth glossy? Mine doesn't have the gloss look do them. BUT this bust rocks! Looks pure evil.

To answer a few recent Q's:
- Shipping to Midwest was a little over 18.00.
- I would be happy to post some pics if someone could give me a crash course. Got the camera but have never submitted photos to a post before, sorry.
- The eyes on mine do appear to have a gloss to them, however not super glossy. When I tilt the head in the light it does appear that you can see a gloss coat. Viking, what # did you get?
Hope this helps

I think I got 32(?). He is really cool looking and I agree I hope they keep this line going, very classy looking, just checked there is light coat on the eyes. Can't really tell until you tilt it into the light or whatever.

Thanks for answering my questions. I can't wait to meet Ardeth in person, just have to wait now
till the 5th of May for the last payment to process. I could pay the last one now but im sure that would throw a monkey wrench in Sideshows Flexpay system. Im almost temped to call Mon. and see if I could arrange it. Im stoked on this piece.:monkey5

Cursey, you download your pics from the camera onto your computer. Press reply to make a post. Type in what you want to say, then scroll down the screen to the 'Additional Option' section. There is a box that says 'Manage Attachments'. Click on that and it will open a window where you can browse your computer for the necessary files. You can download five maximum to attach to your post. If the pictures are too big, it will reject them and you will have to edit the picture and resize it. Then try again.

Those are some good pics! One thing I noticed on my own is how when the light changes on him it brings out something different,a really cool effect.

That looks really great!! By the way, I know a collector (who is a friend) who is trying to get rid of his for cost because he fell short on cash. Send me a PM if interested.

Yeah! They said they would charge my account for the last flexpay at my request and ship him.
They will not do it till Wed. then will take 72hours to process. This way I will get him about a week early.:D

I get my ardeth bey bust tomorrow! Not to complain but after comparing the picture posted here with the prototype on Sideshows site, Is it me or is there a big difference in the pictures here and the prototype? Maybe its just me but the mouth seems wider and not so closed, and the face thinner. I know sometimes home pictures aren't the best (not to put down cursey44's photograph). I hope im not being to picky.

I thought the face looked thinner also... I will decide once I have mine in person and can make a better judgement. I so hope it looks like the prototype in person... I don't won't to be disappointed by this one! :google

Great News, my fears were unfounded. The Bust is just exactly like the prototype. I should have known better than to have thought Sideshow would have let us down.
I received Number 26/100. Can't wait to see who they do next!

Andy,
Not a problem - Kansas City.
Can't really decide who I would want to see next, so many good choices.
I am sure Sideshow won't disappoint.

Here is how I displayed my Ardeth Bey Bust. The bottom part, the pet store next to work threw in the trash :) and the plexiglass cube i made myself. I then added a small wooden lip to keep it in place. I still have to paint the wood black, as you can see in the photo.

Ardeth Bey cometh indeed!!! I picked mine up from my friendly neighborhood Sideshow dealer today (Dark Shadow Collectibles :rock). He is spectacular!! This is the line I have been waiting for my entire life!!! It doesn't have to be a big line, just the most famous of the Famous Monsters! Frankenstein's Monster, Dracula, Wolfman, Creature, Bride, Mummy (wrapped), Phantom, Mr. Hyde and maybe the Vampire from London After Midnight. Just the monsters, no supporting cast, not at this size and expense!

Did I mention that Adam (Dark Shadow Collectibles) :rock!!!!!!!

And (sorry Machael, but you will like your number too!) even though the number isn't all that important to me, I still like getting low numbers and if I was ever going to get a really, really, really low number, this would be the line I would want it on! Dark Shadow Collectibles :rock!!!! I got #005 / 100!!!! :chew :chew :chew :chew:chew

By the way, Ardeth is looking over my shoulder as I type this! Can you feel his presence.......:mummy

One last time, Adam and Dark Shadow Collectibles :rock!!!

I showed Mr. Bey due care and respect as appropriate for someone of his age, wisdom and power! I was strangely compelled to do so… I’m not sure why… I was looking into his eyes, and… and… strange, I… can’t remember now… :mummy

Pics. The fez is less textured than the box, and the pupil of his right eye is slightly off, which is kind of driving me nuts, but all in all a gorgeous piece.

I truely hope I dont add fuel to the fire but slightly misaligned pupils ........... argh!! well they drive me nuts too!!
My Nosferatu has slightly off pupils. I didnt return him, but I feel your pain.

Beautiful bust. Wish I could have one, but the wife would have mine if I did.

I know. I waver between thinking I'll fix the pupils myself, and saying "why should I repaint something that cost me over $500???"

And my wife is awesome, so it's all good. She's probably just glad I'm not spending it on cocaine and whores anymore.

I know it would be a pain, but I couldn't live with that. I would go crazy knowing I bought something to love and it only irk me no end. You have to get it replaced for your own long term sanity, before it's too late too.

Eh, they're sold out, what can one do? What with the signature required and all, it was enough of a pain getting this one here (neighbor had it for a week). I can fix it, and it's not that noticeable until you're right on top of it.

Even though they are sold out, it wouldn't hurt to contact SS customer service about the possibility. Sometimes they may still be able to replace it out of a cancelled order that hasn't been offered to the waitlist yet or maybe even an AP or something. Doesn't hurt to ask.

I'm like Creech, it would agrivate the fire out of me, but if I had checked and know beyond a doubt that there is no way to get a replacement it might be more bearable than not having it at all.

YES !!!
mine finally came in today !

what a beautiful piece.
If anyone's interested I can post some pictures.

But some remarks though.

If you look closely the iris of the eyes isn't exactly the same size.
The hair could have more detail to it.
And his shoulders seem so narrow.

Still remains one fantastic piece of art, but for that price it could've been a little bit better.
Maybe I'm expecting too much of Sideshow ?
