LOTR series - Why white boxes?

I'm a bit crazy I guess, but I kind of collect also the boxes the LOTR items come in.
I received a FOTR weapons set col. 1 in a completely white box with just name of contents on and was disappointed. I read in the LOTR forum that some of the weapons sets come in the normal nice green boxes with pictures on, but others just in white boxes. Why is that?

I'm with you Goldberry, my Fellowship V1 came in just a plain white box :( I have the arms of moria on the way so I ownder what that will look like ???

Sad to say its also in a white box too.

So was my Watcher in the Water Medallion. No biggie, it's just a cost cutting measure for the less popular items.
