It's interesting to see that the gross revenue diminished with each consecutive film while Lucas kept getting fatter and fatter.
 
More than half of Lucas's earnings come from toys.

I probably spent less than $200 for tickets to all 6 movies and ended up spending more than $10,000 on toys.:(:lol
 
I think it's awesome that Lucas had the foresight to keep the majority of the profits (from his idea/creation) in his own pocket and out of Hollywoods. Say what you will about GL, but would it have been any better if Hollywood execs were allowed to call the shots?
 
Lucas is the smartest man to ever walk the earth, well maybe second to Mr Gates.

If he were smarter he would have made the Prequels and the last Indiana Jones likable by everyone and made even more money than he already has.
