Fans willing to shell out $129.99 on the newly-revealed December 7 release date of Disney Interactive's Tron: Evolution will find themselves in the receiving end of one incredibly sexy light cycle model.

Tron: Evolution takes place before Tron: Legacy, so it makes sense that the game comes out a full ten days before the movie hits theaters on December 17. It also makes sense that the game will come packaged in a limited Collector's Edition, packed with a gorgeous replica light cycle model complete with attractive display case, courtesy of Sideshow Collectibles.

:lol I just posted this in the Tron game thread in the vg section. $130 sounds pricey but the Kotaku article doesn't make it clear what else the Collector's set comes with or if the light cycle has a light-up function (the author vaguely writes "it glows"). No idea as to what material it's made of either, though it's probably just plain ol' ABS.

So... less than 2 weeks until this thing hits stores and still no pics of the Light Cycle? Is it that bad, or is it going to be a huge surprise?

I guess I should have phrased my post better.. better pics and specs. That same promo photo has been around since August, but nothing else has surfaced. Is the figure removeable? Does the cycle light up, or is that paint? Are all items in that photo in scale (making the light cycle about the same length as the 360 game case is tall)? I don't imagine this lack of information is helping to move units.

I pre-ordered Tron: Evolution for the PSP on Monday through Disneystore.com. I got a $5.00 discount for pre-ordering the game through Disneystore.com and A free shipping discount of $4.95 because of Cyber Monday! :rock :D I wish all the games came with the Sideshow Lightcycle though. :( :monkey2

This game was pretty fun...friend of mine at gamestop let me play a bit. theres a lot of cool free-running kind of things you can do. Didn't get a chance to play the lightcycle level though :( but I'm definitely going to buy it when the Christmas monies rolls in :D
