This question is to take the place of all the ones I deleted. It would be great if you could shed some light on this, but we understand that it isn't your area.
Some people are concerned with the long waits for shipping from the EU Warehouse, sometimes as much as 3-4 months for an in-stock item. Concern has also been expressed for the very high shipping costs from the EU warehouse, especially for shipments within the UK. Can you comment on this?
Thanks.

Hey Dave -
We do appreciate the consolidated customer service thread. I have been reading and passing along comments from this board, but it really is best to go through the official channels for all customer service needs. We are working to get more help with EU issues and general CS needs - the fan base is growing, and we're growing along with it. We tremendously appreciate everyone's patience and support as these changes happen.
The discussion is still good - don't worry about scaring us away. This thread will be a great way to keep all the comments/complaints/suggestions in one easy to reference place.

Hi Brant, Dave etc
I guess I'm looking for reassurance here and I just hope this is the correct thread. I'm an exile living in cold dark rainy England while my family are nice and warm in West Hills Ca. Would I be better getting stuff sent to my bro and paying him to send them over here, rather than using the EU warehouse? The threads stating that items can take months longer from the EU warehouse have worried me. I want my Buffy, my Angel, my Jinx , my etc etc etc
By the way I've always found Dawn and everyone at Sideshow incredibly helpful on the phone and email. Keep up the fantastic work guys

I think it's an issue of determining whether cost or timeliness is more important to you. I'd say it's pretty much a given that the reshipping will mean you will pay more for each figure, but you'd almost certainly be getting product earlier.
Perhaps a site that's based in the U.S. but ships overseas is what the doctor ordered? www.alteregocomics.com, for example. Although, I don't know how long they received product after Sideshow's site starts shipping to customers.

I'd imagine that if his brother ships as a "gift" to avoid customs and VAT it could be considerably cheaper. But that's just a guess.

Thanks guys. I'll leave my current orders as they are but any new orders will be hitting my brothers door. I guess I could end up getting human willow before the vamp(heh heh)

And if the value quoted on the customs label is £18 or below. Even if it's a gift, if it's worth over £18 and from outside of Europe you stand a chance of HM Customs getting their hands on it...
... only a chance though; it's a bit of a lottery whether they'll charge you or not. Only about 10% of the stuff bound for me that could and should've got customs duties actually did.

I have written various emails over the past year to sideshow about various issues and have not received a reply to any of them. I hope this will be improved upon in the future. I have filled in the customer service forms also and still nothing. I only wanted to know when to expect the treebeard bust ande watcher in water statue but no answer.
