I think that's true. I don't track value very often but I have heard that Vader's price is on the rise. Of course, it's Vader. There's really no single figure more "Star Wars" than that.

I dunno. When you say HT value status, I think the price increase percentage. The Jedi Luke Ex sells for $100, that's over double the value and no different than a $150 HT figure running at $300-$400. :huh

He does look a little dark and overly saturated instead of the pale grey green we see onscreen. And the eyes look a tiny bit wonky. But overall I think it looks fantastic. I'll gonna have a hard time resisting!

I think this Yoda is much better than sickly Medicom Yoda...

Sculpt looks great! Face, hands, log, everything.

On the con side: I don't like the heavy dark paint that is the same color as the eyes, and I think the robe is too sheer...AND I think the necklace hangs down way too long (I'm assuming that's fixable).

With Medi it was an in-hand thing to me. It's Yoda spot on from all angles.
But when I first seen it I thought it wasn't great. Crap expression etc but having it in hand made all the difference.

Thanks for posting all of those pics, OSCORP! What a great preview...

First impressions based on these pics is good...same minor issues others have already mentioned, the sheer robe, the wonky eyes, the darkness of the green.

Although to be fair, even THAT varies from shot to shot...in the pics where the robe/clothes are removed,he looks lighter so...could all be in the pics...

The only thing color-wise that does look "off" a bit are...in the "tray" shots, the hands look a lot darker than the head/body...why oh why is this so often an issue with Sideshow? The coolest sculpts have so often been undone by the factory paint apps...but let's wait until more folks have actually seen it before totally lambasting those paint apps...

Now the pluses...great, extremely well articulated body! Well done there!
Should be quite able to achieve any pose as seen in the film for display and photos...and the rough texture to all the body parts is an interesting touch. The head sculpt looks good. And while the fabric seems a bit slight (reminding me of Tat Luke here), the robe and the other costume elements look well rendered.
The log is a realy cool feature for display...he'll look way better on display with it than just standing there.

Rex debuted in a theatrical SW film produced by George Lucas. Like it or not he's as canon as the OT. :lecture

I've been waiting for a fully articulated Yoda for a long time. I remember tracking down a Hasbro ESB version and was speechless when I saw his lower body, then they came out with the PT version with the limited movement he had was pathetic.
I believe Mikey made an articulated version that kicked butt and I am very happy with this release.

Yup, kudos to Sideshow for not oversizing like Hasbro, he comes up to about knee height on Obi-Wan in the training room in AOTC, looks like they got him in that right scale, which just further makes the detailing and work on this impressive now that we can really grasm how small this is.

All the hands look similar to me, its hardly seemed worth the effort to make so many. IMO really should have come with 2 heads instead of all of those hands. I'll have to wait this one out like most other releases these days.

Yup, kudos to Sideshow for not oversizing like Hasbro, he comes up to about knee height on Obi-Wan in the training room in AOTC, looks like they got him in that right scale, which just further makes the detailing and work on this impressive now that we can really grasm how small this is.

I think its hilarious that it took 5 years for SSC to come up with what is essentially a Toy Biz body with clothing on it. Don't get me wrong, the body looks absolutely fine. Just didn't need to take so long, nor cost so much to do it.

Although to some extent I agree with Prog, I also agree with this.

I don't think they would have had any problems pulling off Yoda in 2007. Kit and Plo look fine to me as far as sculpt and paint. SSC always did well with the aliens, I don't think Yoda would have been different.
