View Full Version : Galadhrim Archer Statue - a common fault?

My Galadhrim Archer statue arrived yesterday. When putting it together I noticed that the 2 spare arrows do not really fit into the quiver. On closer inspection I noticed some sort of (paint?) bubble in the bottom of the quiver that may prevent the arrows from fitting in properly. They are more like hanging half-way out. Look at the arrows too close and they will fall out of the quiver.
I have asked in this forum and three other people have confirmed this problem.

I can't imagine that this is not a fault - what can I do about it?

Thanks, Goldberry

Goldberry,

My statue also had a paint bubble at the bottom of the quiver which did not allow the arrows to fit inside. After trying to make it work for about half an hour, I figured this was a blem and just removed the bubble. It broke off cleanly with a pair of hemostats. I could finally fit the arrows in the quiver. Of course I don't recommend you do the same with your statue because it could damage it. I just got so frustrated that I had to do something or let it continue to drive me mad! It's the only fault with an otherwise flawless statue. Guess SS/WETA quality control is slipping, huh?

Regards.........
